If you people were smart, you’d demand a reworking if the concourses in the east and west stands.

We need some gigantic outdoor neon lights that spell LSU in our font. Vegas style.

How about installing a H-U-G-E image on the 'blank wall' of the iconic image of Joe wearing the Burreaux Jersey entering Tiger Stadium on Senior day with "L" pointing upwards.

Like the big banner of LeBron that was in downtown Cleveland for years...I dig it! Make it so!

blind homer alert.

The exterior, except the North facade and part of the south facade, is terrible. Everybody knows this.

I think tiger stadium is fine. The PMAC need to be taken down and rebuilt. Play a season or two downtown while we build a modern masterpiece on campus.

Public donations. I'm tired of having to pay increased taf/ticket prices on non baseball projects.

How high on your own personal list of desired improvements to Tiger Stadium is redoing (or undoing) the west side facade hack job so that our stadium doesn't continue to look like it's having an identity crisis?

That is what is known in my business as a no-return project...

Nobody gives a shite dude. It was still a giant pooper pipe sticking out like a sore thumb. Had to be an architecture flaw.

FYI, there have been preliminary discussions by LSU with an engineering firm (cannot name) to discuss a long term plan to demolish and replace the lower bowl inside Tiger Stadium one section at a time over the course of several years. It will cost a great deal of money. Many colleges are beginning to consider this approach to bringing older stadiums back up to current standards. Expect to see more of this approach nation wide in the near future. It may never happen at LSU but the concept has been discussed by LSU and they already have input from an engineering firm. Again, this is a long term vision. It’s not the first time LSU has considered the long term life of Tiger stadium. However, this particular effort is recent.

LSU has an idea of what it would cost. It would be done one section at a time in the offseason (i.e. West Side one year, East side the next, North End Zone the next etc.). Not sure exactly how it would all work. I can assure you that it is being considered as a viable long term possibility several years down the road. I’m not saying they are going to do it. I’m saying studies have been done already. It has been considered and very well could happen at some point. I don’t suspect this will be public anytime soon as I it’s not an immediate priority.

The stadium is approaching 100 years old. They either demolish it where it stands and build it back or build a new stadium in a different location if they want to get modern. If they don’t want to move the stadium that only leaves one option; take it down one section at a time. Don’t kill the messenger. It is fact and it came from someone who knows. TIFWIW.

The old stadium with dorms was very unique and iconic. It seems like all of the additions were done without taking into consideration the historical concept of the old stadium.
