Can anyone talk me out of putting $1000 on LSU -4?

LSU is currently down to -4 at -112 odds on Draft Kings right now, and I’m thinking about putting $1000 down on them at that number. I know it’s a season opener and yes I lost my @$$ betting on them the past 2 years against Florida State, but this year just feels different. I genuinely believe Baker will have the defense turned around and we will be a top 50 defense in the country. I expect Nuss to take care of business and us to score at least 34. I felt this confidence reinforced after I watched Will Campbell’s interview yesterday and heard how confident he sounded talking about the team and how on 9/1, the world is going to see and find out what he’s been seeing in practice everyday. I think LSU -4 is a lock and I don’t see how CBK could lose 3 openers in a row

Betting with your feelings is always the best way to do it.

If you really believe this just put it on the over instead

I’ll give you reason to NOT do it… I considered the same…

If we win by 3 points, I want to be excited and celebrate. I don’t want to be happy about the win but also at the same time some of my enjoyment from the win being lessened because I’m pissed that we only won by 3 because I lost my spread bet.

Take LSU money line… problem solved. Less payout of course, but you also get to 100% enjoy our win regardless how much we win by

If we lose the game, all the bets lose anyway and we’re all gonna be pissed together, bet or no bet on the game

Is $1000 a lot to you? Don't do it.

I probably wouldnt do it. Yes USC defense isn’t good, but LSU’s is unproven, coming off a bad year.

I read a stat at Lincoln Riley offenses average over 30 points in his career. uSC will score some for sure. Can LSU score like we think they can.

I think LSU will run the dam ball all day, shorten the game, and pull away late and win by 13. But turnovers will wreck that. So who knows. Probably don’t do it.

You can only afford to put $1,000?

You’re definitely not an OT Baller

Moneyline is what -190?

If $1000 is a lot to you, I’d put at least some there.

If you’re overly confident, put some on the spread at -4 & then a little more on -7 or -9.5 at plus money.

$570 on ML
$224 on -4
$100-200 on -7 or higher

Still gonna make >$500, but will at least cover your spread bets with the ML

Ehh I personally think it’s too risky. I could easily see us winning by 3 and then 1k right down the drain.

Every position group on our team is either average or unproven except for offensive line.

No. This will be a tough game. Kicking will come into play.

Wait to see what product we have. We very well could be in front then during garbage time USC scores to make it within 3

Put $100 on it. It's the first game. Look what happened to all the big favorites last week. $1000 is simply not smart.
