Let's educate you on the sham that is the college football invitational, and this strength of schedule garbage.

There is no question that UCFs opponents are lesser than LSUs, but that really isn't the concern.

The issue is really talent.
In 2017 UCFs two highest rated recruits were #8 in TN and #64 in FL.
That same year.. LSU got #2 and #4 from TN and #11 from FL. Not to mention #5 and #7 from Texas. #4 from MS. And the vast majority of top 10 (including #1) from LA.
I commend UCF on the run they've had, but there is a reason Memphis and Cincinnatti are your biggest games. It's because you match them in talent.

That's certainly not to say that you can't punch over your weight class once in awhile, but if you play a schedule full of teams that recruit in the top 10.. that 55ish ranked class is gonna make you look like Arkansas real quick.

And that's how everyone sees UCF. A well coached and talented (relative to conference) Missouri or Arkansas playing in a weak conference.

Speilman: "Are you trying to intimidate us?"

Andolsek: "No. We're just going to kick your arse."

All the analysis, rationalization and speculation ends on 1/1.

Sorry but you just proved your fanbase is as lame as your National Championship last year.....here's proof.......would you rather your team play.....
BAMA, UGA, LSU 4 times for a total of 12 games....OR
Play Memohis, Pitt, UNC and whoever else lame.dick you played this year 4 times.......

Now keep in mind, injuries, fatigue both mentally and physically.....now tell me why SOS doesn't matter in football ......and please go back to the JV football board.

Proof of people that's never played the sport should never act to know the sport......

The issue is perception. As someone who grew up going to UCLA/USC games because his dad coached there, I can tell you the talent at UCF and in many G5 schools is no different.

Your problem is you think that logo means more than it does. You think that P5 schools scoop up all the talent and leave none for the rest. You look on paper and see height and weight, but not ability, intelligence, and drive.

We're playing moneyball here, fellas. Don't be upset that we achieve more with less.

Uh...no you're not.

UCF's opponents combined record 64-73 with the signature win being Cincinnati

Reposting for an earlier post in case you missed it:

You will not get LSU’s best effort. Similar to Auburn last year, we (SEC) do not get up for bowl games in general, let alone to a measly team like UCF. Hopefully a mediocre effort on LSU’s part will be enough to avoid the massive embarrassment it would be to lose to UCF. Enjoy it if you win but, like Auburn last year, take it with a large grain of salt.

There's no subjective claim about it. We're number 8, you're 11. Those are facts. Want to compare how much money it took to achieve this from both programs?

The excuses already.

And last year, Auburn was talking a big game about how they were gonna shut down this "measly team." Go back and look at all the smack talk from their players and tell me those guys weren't motivated.

This is a lose/lose for us.

We beat you = who cares, you beat a 9-4 team that was unmotivated

We lose = see, told ya you don't belong

It's a shame that's too much for this board to handle. I'm used to better opponents.

We just don't give a single frick about your scheduling or lack of scheduling rather.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of truth in this statement.

Y'all barely beat a disinterested Auburn team last year, a team that lost 4 games, and now you think y'all are some type of world beaters?

Bama's perfect record means something. They play legitimate teams. UCF's perfect record doesn't mean shite because besides Auburn, UCF hasn't played anyone worth a frick.

It might have something to with UCF’s opponents combined win-loss record being 62-64.

Remind me again, what is the record overall between G5 and P5?

Sure, it’s the pollsters making it up that they aren’t as good...

No different? So, what do the people think whose jobs are on the line with each draft pick?

Do they tend to draft from LSU or UCF?

Schedule a team that you know will be good instead of a Pitt

It doesn’t take much to get a blue blood to accept kicking your arse at their stadium if you need to rehabilitate your SOS image that badly.

Strength of schedule matters in football, basketball and baseball.

The fact the you don't realize that only reaffirms the fact that you're a Johnny come lately not worth our time
