It's because of the "snub". Remember, these are journalists. Their opinions aren't worth very much, and they move with the wind. You're the prototypical underdog. Remember that word, "underdog". You've gone undefeated twice...on face value, that seems hard to believe. An undefeated team not in the playoffs? Oh My! but, like the playoff committee, you are not in the playoffs for a reason. SCHEDULE. Everyone knows it. SI will sensationalize it because they are trying to get clicks. They will overplay "undefeated" but won't go into the details of your schedule this year. Your toughest team was Cincinnati. But again, you are underdogs for a reason. Because of that schedule. It's why you are a 14 point underdog. It's why you are ranked #8 and not #4.

None of what i'm telling you is flame or illicit a reaction from you. It's the truth. If your athletic director and coach would schedule quality opponents, then you'll be in the mix of the playoff contenders. It's that simple.
