re: But their emai....schedule!!!
Tulame beat Memphis by 16 fricking points...TULANE. the same Memphis team that should have beaten ucf the first time, lost by 1, and proved that it wasn't a fluke the 2nd time also and had their chances to win again this past weekend. Yalls schedule is a damn joke man. You're team isnt as talented as LSU either. You're an idiot.

Except Michigan and Stanford has scheduled them, and they beat the doors off of UCF.

Honestly, their best option is to try to schedule neutral site openers against legitimate P5 opponents like Boise St. did.

Since 2013, UCF has played a total of 13 P5 teams and is 5-8 against them. Their wins came against 7-5 Penn State, 11-2 Baylor, 4-8 Maryland, 10-4 Auburn, and 7-6 Pitt.

So, in 13 games against P5 opponents, they have beat a good P5 team twice (2013 Baylor and 2017 Auburn).

Their losses include losses to 3-9 South Carolina and 6-7 Maryland.

As I mentioned earlier, scheduling P5 teams is only part of the equation. You need to make some noise and beat some good teams as well.

TLDR. You will not convince LSU Tigers, who play the toughest teams in college football year in and year out about how UCF deserves ANYTHING in college football. Period.

Why don’t you dumbasses schedule Georgia and Clemson next year. Beat them both, you are relevant. Pitt and NC are not legit.

Here’s the thing pal, unless you’re playing top 25 teams week in and week out you’ll never get the respect. From poles, other schools, the media, or the opposing fans. Cry about things being rigged or whatever, this is how it is. DEAL WITH IT! So if your feelings are hurt because you came too talk shite and no one takes you seriously then you’ll just have to get over yourself.

You makezero valid points.

Your excuses for a shite schedule don’t change your shite schedule.

Louisville looks like s decent game to start Banas year. They suck. Bama still plays a tough schedule. See how this works.

And every sport considers schedule strength.

re: But their emai....schedule!!!
Wow! Take it easy killer. The SOS you say?

In a 6 week period we played
Ole Miss -W
@ Florida - L
Georgia - W
Miss St- W
Bye week
Alabama- L

We went 4-2 in that stretch and still had enough live, talented bodies to win at Arkansas (yea they're terrible) after laying the egg at home against Bama.

Then we thumped Rice, as we should have and finished the season with a 7OT controversial loss on the road at A&M.

You're #8. And a damn strong team. Won 25 in a row. We get it.

We're #11. Did you take a look at our schedule?

Do you think you would have gone 9-3 against our schedule?

When's the last time a conference champion was left out of the sweet 16 because of SoS?

Are you seriously comparing basketball to football? Wow, you're window-licking retarded.

Ucf would go 6-6 against our schedule this year at best. Bama, uga, florida, miss st, Texas am, auburn (would whip that arse in revenge when they actually show up to play), and probably miami. Idk, it's hard to tell bc yall never play great teams week in and week out and have to learn to deal with the attrition of a schedule like that in the sec. 6-6 at best if ucf played lsus schedule. On other hand, we would have blown out everyone on ucfs schedule too. What a joke.

Ok you got me with facts there. Lol. Guess all they can do is keep trying to win and schedule up. I agree with you that losses to a shitty South Carolina and Maryland teams do not help their case. Ucf will have to sustain the success and prove they aren’t a two year wonder. In the big picture of proving their mettle, losing to LSU won’t hurt that bad as long as they come back next season and again wreck their conference and get more attention. I think UCF stands a better chance at making a real run at big time - as opposed to USF or Boise a few years ago. What those schools need to do though and quit serving as a coaching jump off point.

Scheduling is done years in advance, and it's a roll of the dice on if those teams are actually going to be any good by the time you play them.

Of course we are aware it's done years in advance. I promise you, it can be done. You may not get a Home & Home series. I'm pretty sure you can rattle off some Top 10 or Top 15 schools - BUT, you're going to have to travel. Maybe start with Miami, Florida, Florida State.

Max a G5's strength of schedule can EVER be, is in the 60s. Because outside of those 2-3 OOC games, they have to play their conference games

UCF's basketball just slammed Alabama's team last week, and it's just another day on the job

Really?? Bama is a Football school - not basketball.
DUKE on the other hand, is a basketball school - not a football school.

re: But their emai....schedule!!!
The problem is is that the ones you schedule suck. The last good P5 team you played during the regular season beat the ever living breaks off your arse and that was Michigan in 2016. You couldn’t even beat Houston. In 2017 you played Auburn who literally checked out. This year you have played NO ONE. You are bragging about beating a 6 loss Pitt team FFS.

Schedule someone worth a damn for more than a year. LSU will more than likely be checked out and depleted as wel. We have like 4-5 defensive starters out injured. We have another one in Greedy not playing due to being a top draft pick.

Even with our injuries , you guys will not have faced a team as fast as ours. Not better.

Don’t thump your chest bro. Especially when you have to actually sit around wearing your Printed-at-Walmart chip shirt.

re: But their emai....schedule!!!

The real question is whether or not they tried to schedule teams like this and were rejected so they had to "settle" on Pitt and UNC or if they just picked Pitt and UNC.

Besides that point/question their fans are delusional. UCF is a good team and it's impressive what they have done. Not taking that away from them, but their fans are acting like LSU isn't even worth their time when in fact it could be their biggest game.

Saying you can hang with Bama and Clemson when your only impressive win is Auburn (in a bowl game) is just fantasy.

Don't agree with that either. A team who is in the top 10 who hasn't lost a game in 2 years and beat an SEC team in a bowl game last year isn't a no win situation. I think it is a quality win for any team (ranked below them) in any conference.

I disagree. I think losing this game will give everyone the validation that they have been looking for to say that UCF is a pretender (which I actually don’t think is the case)

Agreed, but that won’t happen until they join a P5 conference. Even coaches like Peterson (who, by all accounts, was perfectly happy at Boise St.) will look to jump ship sooner or later. UCF, assuming it keeps winning, will be ripe to join a P5 conference soon. They have the media market and resources to be a valuable addition.
