LSU's average points production since Kelly was fired is 13.6. That seems unattainable today.
Why won't MVB run?

Dude has wheels and gets 10-15 easy when he actually commits to it. Are coaches holding him back or is he scared?
Go pick 6!

Might be our only chance of scoring today.
I would be cool with Lane but honestly don't see what he gains outside of money. He's already got the recruits. Unless he's just tired of living in Oxford. Just don't see it.
Also, I'm doing everyone a favor by balancing the positivity. You need pessimism to give the optimistic take it's best chance.

I'm an LSU Tiger through and through but, outside of more money, I don't see what going to LSU and starting over gives him that he doesn't already have.
Calling it: Lane's Not Leaving
Posted by Hoguester on 11/21/25 at 3:07 pm
He's built a winning program thru NIL at Ole Miss and about to enter the CFP with a home game advantage. Talent will be beating on his door to play at Ole Miss. His son Knox is a starting sophomore QB at Oxford High School and already has 8 college offers. Lane's not going to force his son to uproot and start over with another high school.
Lane is doing what he does best: yanking everyone's chain and building leverage for the strongest offer extension with Ole Miss.
One caveat is that he might consider leaving if Ole Miss tries to force his hand with an ultimatum, offers a weak offer, and it doesn't give him the optics of winning.

What is CC board's best guess on "when"?

At this point, I get it's anyone's guess on who will be head coach. Is there any solid info on targeted timing of coaching decision by LSU administration?
re: True or False?

I do think there's something to be said for a quarterback with confidence and a leadership mindset, which honestly, Nuss does not seem to inspire either. It seems like that gives an intangible boost to areas that are weak. In other words, someone who inspires the team With their leadership, makes others around them want to play better.
Improved accuracy, takes advantage of deep threats, and becomes more of a running threat for starters.
Point being, we've been so obsessed on the qb issue, if we get improvement there, still are going to need vast improvement on oline and running game and other areas if we want to be competitive for the NC.
True or False?

T or F: If LSU solves its QB problem (Nuss vastly improves or MVB comes in and lights it up), LSU will be a top 5 team.
Volta, but to go. Not bad Greek/lebanese fare.
Where y'all eating tonight?

For those in Oxford, where are you going tonight?
Predict LSU's first offensive series
Posted by Hoguester on 9/26/25 at 2:18 pm
If I had to guess, I'd say a wide receiver screen (2 yards), run up the middle (-1 yard), followed by a completed pass 6 yards down the field, and a punt.
But I'm an optimist.

SEC Network: Bama vs. ULM? Seriously?
Posted by Hoguester on 9/4/25 at 10:02 am
Grumble thread. No one wants to watch No.21 Bama play ULM instead of No. 3 LSU.
Do better, SEC Network.

Yesterday's camera format was great. Watching Cade's wicked stuff was amazing. Would be ticked if I'd have had to watch it like today.
Seriously?! Are they going to do it on EVERY pitch now? Ugh, the worst. Give me the stable view from 2nd base, please!
Pretty sure I'm going to need a Dramamine if they keep this up...
Ump Cam: Love it or Hate it?

Personally, I find it a little annoying with the shakiness but it definitely gives the sense of what it feels like as the batter.
