UCF is that program that everybody gives a little respect to, but then they f it up and try to convince you to give more respect. Enjoy your time then more than likely fall back off into mediocracy.

You took this post more seriously than UCF takes their schedule.
UCF’s conference schedule is mediocre. Not good, not bad, but mediocre, and their OOC has a FCS school on it. Gotta do better than that if you want to be taken seriously. UCF has chosen the stability of conference membership and money games over a chance to be great. Toodles.

I truly hope this is how your team and coaches feel, too.
They will. Please see my post above.

"Strength of schedule garbage", he says.
Says a guy whose team beat Memphis by 1 point in the regular season for their best win.
Says a guy whose team gave up 40 points to Temple.
Says a guy whose team played SMU, FIU, FAU, Maryland, South Carolina State, Austin Peay, Cincy, and had the game with Ga Tech cancelled.
Oh please tell us again how LSU playing Bama, Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State, Miami, Texas A&M, Georgia, etc.
is the same as playing the UCF schedule. Puleeze....

How is it garbage?
Help me understand this mentality.

I too work in Orlando and with some diehard UCF fans and they aren't even talking this much crap about LSU. It's mostly "System is unfair!" " Wish we could've played the Gators!" "We are better than LSU because we are ranked higher and undefeated" When you point out their weakness vs the run and the fact that MEMPHIS and CINCINNATI ran all over them all they answer is "AUBURN!"

First, for those of you that complain that UCF needs to schedule P5 teams for OOC games: they do. Since it seems many here don't actually know how it works, scheduling is done years in advance, and it's a roll of the dice on if those teams are actually going to be any good by the time you play them. UCF had UNC and Pitt scheduled this year. UNC, although cancelled due to hurricane, would have done nothing for the SoS. They are horrible. Earlier in the year, Pitt was looking the same, as we plowed them, but they ended up being the ACC division champ, but are still not that great.
Cry more. This is all bullshite. Absolute bullshite. If UCF is such a big boy program, then lobby ESPN for an opening weekend neutral site game. Guess what- They will pay most of your fricking buyout! They do it all the time for big TV games. Or, just grow a pair, buy your way out of a game that’s already scheduled, and make a better deal. This happens ALL THE TIME. EVERY YEAR. Quit crying and find a better AD if yours can’t get it done. For example, Memphis has had home game WINS vs a Top 10 Ole Miss team and a Top 15 UCLA team in the last 4 years. If they and Houston can get it done, so can UCF.
All of the above blows apart your bullshite excuse that you keep pumping in multiple threads. Your AD and football program hide behind empty arguments in the hope that they will get treated differently for never losing against middling teams. As you can see here, no one gives a shite. No one respects you because you, your program, your coach, your AD, etc, just want to be handed something. Maybe some of you are starting to see that it will NEVER happen unless you grow up and follow the proven method to move your program up the ladder.

UCF is 8-28 vs Power 5 opponents since 2000 and only 3 of those 8 wins were against teams with winning records.
Ouch. No wonder they don’t want to schedule anybody.

TCU joined a real conference and haven't gone undefeated since.
Same for Utah. Some success, but a ton of bumps in the road, too. Even Boise St has been a little more ordinary just moving up one rung from the old WAC to the MWC.
I’m sure all of the above would love to have been able to skip over the hard work of building a program. Guess what? You don’t get to. No one does.

This is a lose/lose for us.
What exactly do you have to lose? You don’t have anything besides a win streak and a banner for a fake title.

You stupid mother fricker. Y’all scheduled the series with UNC in 2016, and the series with Pitt in 2017. Way to go out on a limb with those power houses so far out.

When's the last time a conference champion was left out of the sweet 16 because of SoS?
Again, noting but illogical bullshite from you. Plenty of regular season hoops champions get left out of the big dance because their strength of schedule sucks.
