Moscona said there were "other things" going on with Gilbert that he has heard, but wouldn't comment on since it's not something that has been reported openly. I've been curious about this ever since he mentioned it.

It's possible that none of you know what is going on in his private life. Let him figure out what he needs to figure out. It sounded like Mom was for him staying, so that is a good thing.

It has nothing to do with the OC, dumbass. He’s an 18 year old kid who is not dealing well with his first experience living away.
Freshmen are balling out all over the field on offense. We just had the offensive player of the week as a freshman. Boutte, Koy, Max, TJ, Bradford and even Gilbert have had great years so far.

But it’s useful information that someone who aspires to play in the NFL should pay attention to. He’ll be eligible in 2 years.
He’ll be called a pussy in the NFL too. You either validate the criticism or you prove them wrong.
If he’s transferring, he’s not helping establish the type of character it takes to succeed in the NFL.

Gilbert was on the team, then he chose to leave the team. He quit.
Now, whether you think there is a valid reason for him quitting is a different topic. But he quit. That is not debatable.

The optics of this player quitting when he did look really bad for him. Quit the week of the best game of the year and then leak that he’s in the transfer portal the week after just looks bad for this guy. If he doesn’t want to be a Tiger then so be it. It’s time to move on.
