I'd be willing to bet Pelini is the only of the coordinators to get replaced.

I'll take that bet. Pellini isn't going anywhere.

He was the second leading receiver on the team when he opted out. But I’m sure the allure of Todd Monken is what is bringing Gilber back home.

I wish he would have stayed at LSU. Still,he's just 18 or 19 still a boy. I wish him well and hope he picks the school that he's really happy at.

Good luck,Arik.

If any player allows this fan base to interfere with a career decision, he needs to mature quickly.
I want him back.
What young person hasn't made an emotional decision.
After he becomes All American and becomes a first round draft choice, the fans will love for a few weeks.

Muddbone posted that Arik isn't going anywhere just yesterday LINK and also posted that Arik is getting the support he needs from LSU.

I'll go with him until I hear otherwise.

Wrong pelini is gone. You don’t get to stay when you have the worst d in LSU history. Plus the smoke of two guys that left due to him returning says bo is gone

Gilbert’s numbers were some of the best ever for a freshman TE. But yeah it’s the OC’s fault. Idiot

Per your bio, you attended LSU in the 1950's and you are calling an 18 year old kid a pussy because you are mad about sports.

He ain’t coming back after the fan base roasted him for two days

So the kid was upset enough to leave his team, quit on the season with two games left but you want to blame the fan reactions AFTER he made such a dramatic move as the reason he isnt coming back?

That kid was never coming back regardless of what happens with coaches. He positioned himself perfectly to go play for Georgia or Bama. Everyone is so worried about hurting the kids feelings and delicate sensibilities but lets call a spade a spade, the kid quit.

1. Fanbase worships kid in hopes to recruit him.
2. Soft kid quits.
3. Large group of fans want to soft-peddle criticism in hopes that he un-quits.
4. Kid becomes even softer.
5. Soft kid will become even softer. Like wet toilet paper soft.

He's bipolar and had an acute psychiatric episode that required short term inpatient treatment and his mother came and brought him home to take care of him.

You're all jackasses.

Oh yeah, those teams don't want the best TE prospect in the history of college football.

They're going to fight like hell for him if he actually enters the portal and he'll be an incredible player for whichever team gets him.

You calling the LSU coaches jackasses? If what you said was truly the case, and Gilbert had no intention of transferring Ed O and the coaches would be all out front in the media showing Gilbert their concern for him. In fact, the word “opt out” would never have been used. The press release would have said, “Gilbert is injured and getting medical treatment.”

Come on, man. Use your head.

I think it's funny that all these manly, macho key board warriors calling Arik out, actually sound like butt hurt school girls.

I have butt hurt a lot of school girls when I was a school boy...and none of them quit.
