Boosters

Posted by TheBoot1 on 10/26/25 at 7:27 pm
Who are LSUs big boosters besides Graves and Gordon?
Yes, it was completely blind. As a fawn, his eyes were glazed over and had a blue tint. Totally unresponsive to any movement.

They built a large enclosure for him, which was wooded, and took very good care of him.

You don't have to agree, but they gave the deer a life that it wouldn't have had otherwise.

quote:

Was it really though? There is a big difference between 100% blind and partially blind. Green jeans stated the deer was partially blind which makes sense. I very seriously doubt the deer was 100% blind. Caring for a totally blind outdoor animal is almost impossible. I had to put down a horse that went totally blind and got itself severely stuck and injured.

It was completely blind and helpless. Wouldn’t have survived a week if they hadn’t saved it.
The deer was 100% blind, and was definitely abandoned.

My travel softball organization in Livingston Parish holds a fundraiser auction every November to raise money for our teams and offset the costs for our parents. This would be an unbelievable piece to auction off!

Cost of digging a pond?

Posted by TheBoot1 on 11/13/23 at 9:07 am
What is a reasonable price to pay for having a pond dug?
1/4 acre pond. 6-8 feet deep. No trees or other obstructions. Dirt remains on property.
Any idea?

Hop on/hop off bus tour is great. The guides give you incredible detail on the history of Boston.

Fenway tour is awesome and a must do. Go to a Sox game if you can.

Whale watching tour was surprising great.

Harpoon Brewery tour is phenomenal. Do the tour and then sit and have a pretzel and a few beers.

Harvard Arboretum is gorgeous if you like nature things.

If you rent a car, download the Parking Panda app. Very helpful.
- Bull Shoals Lake - rent a pontoon boat (Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock and Marina Services). Find cliffs to jump off of. Explore the lake. Collect awesome driftwood to bring home (my favorite thing to do).

- Kayak the Buffalo River - Go to Buffalo River Outfitters or Buffalo Camping & Canoeing to rent. Both are great.

- Hiking in Ozark National Park - Download AllTrails App and find trails with waterfalls.

I have done all of these several times. You won't regret any of them.
Just wait till y’all see Sean and Jean Golmond from DS in the next couple years.
Tyre Golmond’s “little” brothers. Freshmen. Both are already over 6 ft and put together. One plays QB and one plays WR.
Thank you for sharing this story. I needed to see this. I am really struggling in my relationships with my older kids - early 20s and teenager - and it has me down bad lately. I just can’t seem to get excited about Christmas like I usually am.
Really appreciate your encouraging words.
Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!
What was your favorite decade and why?
The french fries were great. Everything else was terrible.

The problem was the enforcement of the ice chest policy. 100 degree heat, and I can't bring in cut up fruit for my 10 year old daughter.
It was pretty easy to sneak it in though.

Definitely woodworking....get on youtube and start small...clean out your garage and you'll have plenty of room.
I am obsessed with making boxes right now. It is the perfect stress relief at the end of a long work day or week.
