Here in Shreveport, officer Thomas LaValley responded to a disturbance call and never made it home. I also have a SPD family member that went on a disturbance call. The man refused to comply and turned his back on the officer and his partner. They "aggressively", took him to the ground and after finally getting his arms subdued rolled him over and he had a gun in his belt.
Perhaps the guy wouldn't have used the gun but was it worth risking the officer's life? Maybe if Lavalley had been more aggressive he would still be alive. I'd rather be a jerk and make it home than be nice and in a box.
A regular person has no idea what a cop deals with and how quickly a situation can change. Pulling the gun when immediate compliance doesn't take place is a deescalation tactic because the faster someone complies, the quicker the interaction ends. I know it can't feel good if you feel you didn't do anything wrong but it's the safest thing a cop can do sometimes. When someone starts to argue, continuing to argue as they don't do what you tell them invites people to not do as you say. In that moment the most important thing for the cop is to get the person perceived as a possible threat to follow commands. No arguing or excuses.

Frisking someone that committed a crime or you suspect committed a crime is completely justifiable
That frisk was excessive for the situation & why they were called out. Bottom line.

Take my crews pic down or you’ll be hearing from my attorney

And that makes you what? A criminal nutsack licker? I bet you were all about Alton Sterling too huh, that fine upstanding citizen?
Jesus Christ, look at some crime stats and demographics some time and tell me those cops in BR shouldn’t be on edge 24/7

It seems completely logical to frisk two people hiding behind cars at a place in which cops were called to
Hence why the cops didn’t frisk all the other black people in the video not hiding behind cars
Hence why the cops didn’t frisk all the other black people in the video not hiding behind cars

Because the two kids were unarmed.

Or are you going to ignore that because it doesn't fit your horseshite narrative.
Commies believe anything they are told.
Critical race theory was the lovechild of communists at the Frankfurt school.
Since their beliefs couldn't be proven by science, they came up with a new word (anti positivism) which basically means "Science be damned." They created their own "Social studies" that supported their belief, and it's horse shite.
Critical race theory is anti science, and a fairy tale.

Thats not excuse to take that shite out on the general public.
There is a problem with cops both aggressively interjecting themselves into situations and treating the general public as a danger.
It’s not good for cops of citizens.
This was a fricking noise complaint.

So are we gonna get an apology from everyone who called Koy a lying POS?
I think the real elephant in the room and issue is:
Koy Moore and his friend(Bama WR) had to resort to hiding behind a truck in a parking garage at 2am to have some alone time and be intimate.
This entire incident happened b/c of homophobia.
If they didn't have to be in the closet about their feelings for each other, they could have been cuddled up in an apartment without worrying what roommates would think or say.

quote:You're being ignorant here. Koy and his friend looked to be hiding (because they were). The cops don't know the reason for them hiding and that's not initially important. The first step is to secure the area (search under the cars) and search the two guys to secure them. That's priority one when you're called to an area and people are acting suspicious.
That frisk was excessive for the situation

The problem is that reasonable suspicion has been dropped to nothing.
All of this was over nothing.

then why did Koy behave suspiciously?

Non compliance is neither necessary nor sufficient to create a threat.

You keep posting this nonsense.
They did not stop them because of the noise complaint. The stopped them because they were hiding behind a car suspiciously and then they did not follow the directions of the officer.
Just because they were responding to one complaint doesn't mean they should ignore obvious suspicious behavior that is right in front of them.
C'mon man.

Nah, they were immediately treated like they were criminals & guilty of something.
shite could have ended with a quick conversation, what are y’all doing here; go home,
They were completely unaggressive & cop escalated things.
