he makes 1.75 mill at Duke. He is an offense and Qb guru. SEC Head coaching experience. And won at Duke. if not for head coach at least as OC.

Let's not and say we didn't.

he'll totes mcgotes go for the idea of leaving a HC gig at a Power 5 school to be the OC at another school with a fragile coaching situation....

We will look for a younger guy with that idea in mind. OC and coach in waiting.

I don't like the idea of HCIW, not in the least.. but that is what got Jimbo to FSU..
Where is our Jimbo then? What great OC is going to leave their program to come to LSU and possibly wait it out? I just don't see coaches doing this as often now.. seems like all the great OC's want HC right out the gate, regardless where it's at.. Art Briles' son is their OC and he wants the North Texas job... NORTH TEXAS.. eh..
Then that reminds me of TCU.. Patterson struggled with offense so he had enough and got co-coordinators to run the entire show.. (co-coordinators was a nightmare for us of course) but where did they come from? I believe one of them is looking at a small HC job currently.. see again, they just all seem set of being HC immediately..
but where is a great OC that is going to be willing to come to LSU.. given the HC situation..
then on top of that, i still worry about the defensive coordinator. ehh oh well. this is what stinks about Les IMO, he's not a defensive guru.. and he's not elite with offensive play calling.. and then he doesn't even have his offensive coordinator on the field.. so to me he's still handcuffing a lot.. and I like a play caller more hands on.. especially offensively.
Why doesn't LSU go spend big on an OC/DC if they were willing to buy Miles out.. yet they were too cheap to guarantee Chavis the length he wanted..
Any ways, ignore me I'm just ranting and an idiot thinking out-loud.. Carry on..

It doesn't matter who the fricking OC is or if he is the HCIW. CLM is the problem with this offense and this team. he isn't a next- generation type coach so don't expect much. We might win, but I don't see any NCs in our future. If anything, I think the program regresses a la Texas. And I doubt any good OC will come here knowing they'll be handicapped under Miles.

Will you people get out of here with this HCIW bullshite?

You people are all on drugs. First you think no coach will want to come here to replace Miles, now you think every head coach wants to become our OC and HCIW. God, what an awful night for LSU.

Did you eat paint chips as a kid? Bring in a 61 year old man and name him coach in waiting. You win retard of the hour.

Only settle for Cut if you can't get Bill Walsh or Don Coryell, IMO

cut the man some slack. cutcliffe is the only OC who would mesh with miles philosophy and run a decent offense. he would do a great job as OC
problem - he's a head coach now, and he is too old to wait on lsu.

No way. He's a small time coach and will fail on a big stage.
