This entire team better make a Kramerian improvement in the offseason. They need new blood at 3rd, LF, and RF (assuming Duplantis moves to CF). And there needs to be serious improvement in the pitching staff.

CC will go 0-2 in Omaha.
But they went 2-0 in Baton Rouge. Doesn't say much for LSU if they team goes 0-2.

We've only won 1 CWS game in 7 years!!!!! It's all the head coaches fault, Who he recruits, the hitting, assistant coaching, the pitching!! He's the HEAD COACH

Can anyone at the box give us a celebration play by play? Victory lap or nah?

How in holy frick is it not his fault letting Jordan hit with the bases loaded 2x?
Who hits there? Wofford came in and struck out and he pinch hit Wofford for Breaux.
What batter would you like to see there?

You're welcome... it's going to be a long offseason. Until next year

Yeah, Reid comes in as a freshman and bats ~.290 with an OBP of ~.415. We need someone else there.

Who do you want to replace him?

I noticed CCU has a better HC.

Reid was a bright spot all things considering. I'll be happy to see him there for the next 3 years.

His 3rd base play is horrible but I agree he really works the count better than anybody we have. Its like hes being coached by a different team. His approach is stellar like we see from other teams we play...ehem, CC.

No idea, but the twins didn't appear to ever being getting a hit for some time.
But I guess you could pinch hit Bryce of Breaux instead and hope for a productive out on the batter before. I wonder what ever happened to Bryce Adams.
I personally would like to see us try more squeeze type of plays with a speedy runner on 3rd.. could have just left Breaux in to bat then..
Getting back to Beau batting there though with 2 outs.. I guess you let him hit.. not many options left at that point.. He just struggled so hard down the stretch.
I don't know the correct moves to make there.. but I just wish we never got conservative with Cole at 2nd on Duplantis' double. Even with tagging up, I believe he still scores on that hit with his speed from second and we went extra careful.. and it cost us dearly.
I am just so bummed right now, because I feel this was a great opportunity to win in Omaha given so many national seeds were out.
I don't know how much better we will be next season. We still need better production all over and we lose Fraley.

3rd? Reid was solid there this year.
I would be elated to see Deichmann work on becoming an outfielder for next year.

Frustrating end to the season but at least this team was fun to watch this year. Looking forward to next year, it should be a great season.

So did Stony Brook at the time, but they've made the tournament once since they beat us and have only had 2 winning seasons since then.

1 of 2 things:
1) the SEC was overrated,
or
2) the SEC teams burned themselves up in the conference tourney
maybe both.
The conference, by and large, has been handled up on pretty well in the postseason.
I have to wonder if there was too much emotional intensity for the tournament, and the teams just ran out of gas afterwards.
The other option is that the league wasn't nearly as strong as everyone thought it was.
