I think there is a rule that if the Sugar loses its SEC tie in they can protect another SEC team to prevent someone else from taking them.

That is correct, so unless they'd rather the Orange have Bama, they will prevent it from happening

Seems to me that the Cotton bowl might be interested in the Les vs. Ok State angle. This would be the first time he's faced his former team. Maybe it's been too long and no one cares, but at least it's a storyline unlike USCe-Ok State.

We would crush Okie State in Dallas about the same way we destroyed WV there a few seasons back. Not much of a game, if this happens to be the matchup.

I don't really care which Florida bowl we go to, the matchup is much more important to me. If we can get Michigan in the Gator, that's fine with me.

Last year Texas A&M was 10-2, playing well, had momentum beating Alabama and an impending heisman winner. LSU had the same record but was playing poorly.
This year LSU has the better record and A&M has lost 2 straight games. JFF has looked terrible. I don't know who they take but this year is very different from last
