Had to have been 1994 or before. In 1998 we beat the crap out of ranked Miss State and in 1999 we beat 7-3 Arky to finish 3-8. Surely we beat a ranked team every year 2000-2019. And as mentioned we did in 2020-2022.

Edit: looks our 4 wins in 1994 were all against unranked teams.
I saw BTTF the musical in London recently. Highly recommend. It was like watching the movie for the first time again. It was about 90% identical to the movie but just different enough to not know exactly what was coming next.
Michigan and Georgia are in no matter what. If usc or tcu lose then Ohio state takes their place. If they both lose I am pretty sure tcu stays in the 4 spot. Clemson (if they win), Tennessee, and Bama would be in some order after that.
The same teams if lsu doesn’t beat Georgia
Where on that chart is time remaining shown? It is clearly taking into account the possibility of 2 lsu field goals which is highly unlikely with 4 minutes left

Not true at all. It forces LSU to go for 2 which is statistically hard to get. If they don’t get it a field goal win it for you.
Statistically, you have (less than) a 50% chance of getting a 2 and over 95% of getting the xp. It is a no brainer to go for one and force lsu to go for the 2 if they score. Chances are a field goal will win it for you.

Saban has made some dumb 2 point calls over the years but he almost never pays for it because the team is too good for it to matter.

There’s your rankings!
There are two entrances into Steiner from 620. Traffic pre pandemic was pretty terrible on 620 to 2222 during rush hour. But they built an extra partial lane and a short cut to 2222 which really helps traffic.
Years ago I was looking at the imdb 250 best movies all time and Bruce Willis was the only actor with 5 movies on it that weren’t sequels. Also all 5 were different genres. He wasn’t the lead or star in all of them but I still think it is impressive especially for someone who gets some ridicule for his acting. I think the list was:

1. Pulp fiction
2. Die Hard
3. 12 monkeys
4. Sixth Sense
5. Sin City

Tyrus Thomas was second team SEC and you have him on the top 5. Glen Davis was Tyrus’ teammate and SEC POY but doesn’t make the backup squad. Makes sense.

A better story line would have been Daniel was super arrogant and at the beginning of that movie gets his butt kicked by Barnes to lose championship. That means the rise of Cobra Kai. Daniel has to go back to training and being humbled but fears losing again to Barnes, not deathly afraid of Barnes,

So Rocky III?
The real victim in the movie is Mr. Welsh. He was probably justified in punching George for telling off his wife but will be the town villain for being the guy that beat up the drunk, depressed town hero. Plus, he will never be able to grab a martini after work for the rest of his life.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We’ll definitely try a couple of these.

Help me find a tv series

Looking for a tv series for the wife and I that is a 1 hour dramedy type that doesn’t require a lot of thinking and low intensity. A few that we have seen the last few years that we liked (ranked in order):

1. Psych
2. Cobra Kai
3. Chuck
4. Ted Lasso
5. Monk
6. Suits
7. Blue Bloods
8. Royal Pains
9. Burn Notice (on season 2 but neither of us love it).

Anything like these that are good? We clearly like our cheesy USA shows. I have also watched LOST but the wife has not.
I believe to this day that the play that changed LSU football was 3rd and 22 on our own 5 yard line with 2 minutes remaining and a tie game. All signs pointed to a draw play, botched punt, and easy field goal by Tenn to end it.

Instead Rohan hit Reed in the middle of the field for and gave us OT. LSU football was never the same after that play.
I am not sure what to make of the data and relatively low cases the last two days. I thought we would get a data dump after the low case numbers from Labor Day. It’s good we are not but the testing is also relatively low. I find that odd given that colleges are testing like crazy. Also, hospitalizations have flattened the last 5 days and I hope that breaks down again.
Illinois dropped over 5000 cases on WOM today. I wonder if that is a data entry error, data dump, or a huge spike that we will see for a while.
Does anyone know what the Minnesota data error was? Surely they didn’t take, much less fail to report, 200k tests but that is the difference in total testing from last Friday.
FYI -

I heard that Florida would not do testing from like Thursday to Tuesday b/c of the hurricane. If so, I suggest just assuming 9500 Florida cases (or whatever the 7 day average is) for Florida those days and do something similar with testing numbers. That way it doesn't affect the trends.
I really like that plot.

1.add a color bar to indicate the scale of the colors
2. Add time on the x-axis
3. Consider normalizing each state by the population, or making a second plot with normalized numbers.
I am not sure what to make of the flat or very slow decrease in number of cases. It is easy to attribute it to the fact we are testing 250K more people than a month ago and I hope that is what it is. However, the extra 250K may be Largely a pseudo-random sample of people with a small probability of having the virus, rather than symptomatic people who would not have been tested at the old testing numbers.
I am getting annoyed with worldometers sight as sometimes numbers come out of nowhere and don’t make sense.

The official deaths released today for Louisiana was 12 but worldometers has 72. The total deaths for Louisiana is also over 100 more than it should be.
I think I figured it out. Looks like worldometers retroactively added ~400 deaths today for sometime in the past which bumped the cumulative number up. Chrome subtracts the listed cumulative yesterday from today’s listed cumulative and therefore the extra deaths. So today’s number should be 1218 or similar but sometime in the past extra deaths were added.
There was definitely something weird with New York today. It was 130, then 0 then they added 172. But if you click on New York the county by county adds up to 260 at the top.

But None of that explains the nearly 400 difference in Chromes spreadsheet. Does he enter numbers manually or pull automatically from worldometers or another website.
Are we to assume that this 500 data dump is coming from those 1500ish deaths they found over the weekend in New York? If so I guess we can expect two more of these data dumps this week?

Today’s numbers were looking great until then.
The Stanford study sent out facebook requests to get their “random” sample. And the professor who did the study doesn’t know how to apply Bayes theorem.
I have a suggestion for your table. Since daily changes are meaningless because of the poor reporting on weekends, I have started comparing to the week before on the same day. That’s related to the 7 day rolling average but maybe a column that shows the difference in fatalities each day compared to 7 days prior?

It was a good day today. About 400 less fatalities than last Saturday.

If we are testing animals with mild symptoms I don’t want to hear about our lack of testing capabilities anymore.
Bama wouldn’t be able to handle 100,000 drunk tiger fans screaming on the score board via zoom.
