If you can’t read the tea leaves with his comments about doing different coverages drawn up at halftime, then you don’t know much about football talk. Get ready for a new hire men. Not sure who it will be but it will be soon

The decision was final after the Bama game.

Go back and listen to that press conference. He very subtly blamed the defensive game plan/coaching.

Him saying that it was the first time they ran that defense all year is one of those things that is better left unsaid. Similar to him saying we should have spied the QB immediately after the Bama loss. It makes the entire staff look bad, including him.

Yes, people are under delivering on the blame Brian Kelly himself should be eating on everything gone wrong.

I couldn’t believe he said that. Your 12 games in and now you change the coverage? And we know he did because the TAM QB said it was the reason they couldn’t get going on the 2nd half.

Yep. HP 4 was all over that Aggie QB every time he tried to run in 2nd half. Myself and many others said this before season started. HP4 can put pressure on QB’s - physical and mental pressure, even when he doesn’t get to the QB.

Kelly is responsible for the hire in the first place.

Does Kelly get blamed for the Heisman candidate and one of the most prolific offenses ever in college football?

Two things can be correct.

The only message I got is that he’s been coaching for 200 dog years
I hope he’s not retiring
I think he definitely realizes he wasted one hell of an offense
He didn’t point fingers
He self evaluates himself first
My only gripe was the defensive line play early in the season and it cost you Fla st and ole miss games

Please explain to us idiots in detail what adjustments lsu made. Since you’re such a football savant it should be really easy for you to articulate what adjustments were made and how it affected the game. I’m pretty sure you had no idea what adjustments were made until BK mentioned it in his press conference, but maybe I’m wrong.

In b4 op says “Cover 2 Trail”

There will be a lot of high staff changes at numerous programs. He will have the choice of defensive minds.

He's the HC. He gets credit for bringing in JD and having one of the best offenses in LSU history and he gets the blame for fielding the worst defense in LSU history.

Well for one he brought 5 man pressure and 6 once or twice. He also played some spy on QB with a matchup zone behind

While I’m glad the change was made and it appears we will get a new defensive staff, he probably should not have said it in the presser. Just like not spying on Milroe. All it does is raise questions as to why he didn’t make changes sooner. Why did he insert himself in the defensive strategy in the last game of the season when it was obvious to the entire fan base it was a problem all year?

I still think BK can win a natty here but those are the things that let doubt creep in. He needs to announce that House is leaving like today or tomorrow for recruiting purposes.

It’s real simple to figure out . House is a very very good DC. He runs a system that relies on talent. Well, we don’t have that talent to run his system. That is where creativity comes into play and being exotic with looks and pressure packages. Kids love that these days. The game has changed from a Team to ME sport with the introduction of NIL. Therefore you have to change as a coach. Kirby brings crazy pressure with ultra talented kids. Saban is still more of a base guy with a bunch of studs. LSU doesn’t have the dudes right now so we need to be more exotic intil we get some Dawgs in

It was a dog shite hire and everyone knew it yes.

It's more egregious, though, to not move on after seeing the results.
