100% agreed. Which leads to the overall results because the measuring stick. He’ll be going for his 2nd 10 win season after taking over a dumpster fire that O left behind.

If you look back at BK’s coaching history there are some really bad whiffs on coordinators. He staunchly defended Brian Van Gorder as his DC for 2 years before firing him. Hiring is hard. Sometimes you miss. He did hire Elko, Lea, and Freeman right after that.

Remember when Gerry DiNardo lost his job for refusing to change coordinators?

Especially in year 2 when you take into account what he had when he got here. Sometimes, things don't work out perfectly at first. It's trial and error. There were alot of errors, but there were also extenuating circumstances. A few portal guys bombed completely, the portal is far from an exact science right now. NIL is new too. Kelly said before the season that we weren't there. He flat out admitted it, he told us, and then we're mad at him because we didn't believe him. We also have something that is going to pay absolute dividends in Jayden's Heisman hopes. QBs flock to Lincoln Riley because he's had QBs win the Heisman, but he's never even sniffed a national title.

Please explain to us idiots in detail what adjustments lsu made. Since you’re such a football savant it should be really easy for you to articulate what adjustments were made and how it affected the game. I’m pretty sure you had no idea what adjustments were made until BK mentioned it in his press conference, but maybe I’m wrong.

Perkins quit coming off the field on 3rd downs.
Womack was inserted in obvious passing downs
Perkins either rushed or spied on obvious passing downs

He's not throwing house under the bus mid-season. He takes the blame. Not a good look when you dish your coaches. Now after season is over like he said he will take care of what needs fixed

Why? He’s hired guys to do a job & they get paid handsomely for it.

Do better if they don’t like it

Huh? It’s better left unsaid because it makes him look bad as a head coach, as well as the entire defensive coaching staff that he is ultimately responsible for hiring.

I'd have to back and watch the game to tell you details but I noticed it right away when they changed the defense. If you couldn't see it too then you don't know much about football and I'm no expert.

I don't know if that's exactly what they were playing but they stopped playing zone.

I would rather have honesty than fluff.

Does Kelly get blamed for the Heisman candidate and one of the most prolific offenses ever in college football?

Of course he does, but all that matters are championships. To hell with statistics.

I don’t think that’s what that comment means at all. Coach speak?

I don’t know what will happen after coaches evaluations in a couple of weeks. I will leave that to the head coach. I’m confident the right decisions will be made. I still think the biggest staff problem is Lindsey. Not well enough to coach but not sick enough to retire. As long as he is attempting to come back he likely won’t be let go. I wouldn’t want that weight around my neck.

Wasn’t that the same press conference where you were livid because you felt like Kelly was sticking up for House?

I’m amazed that you can simultaneously be critical of Kelly for A) sticking up for the staff and B) throwing the staff under the bus, in the same press conference.

(I’m not really amazed; you whine about something every time Kelly speaks to the media.)

Who should he have hired out of the available DC’s at the time House was hired?

The decision was final after the Bama game.

Go back and listen to that press conference. He very subtly blamed the defensive game plan/coaching

But proceeded to run same shite D for the next game and a half. Change should have been made after the Bama game if true, not 2nd half of A&M game.

Probably. I can’t remember what all was said in the Alabama post game, but if he was defending House then yeah I was probably critical of it.

Huh? I’m fine with him being critical of the staff. I’m just saying it makes him look bad as a head coach. When you wait until the 2nd half of the last game of the season to try a new defense that is successful, that’s not good. Same with admitting that you knew there were defensive adjustments you could have made in game (QB spy) but you chose not to make them.

Yeah well he say some dumb stuff when he speaks to the media. Sorry I don’t praise him like other posters just because he “sounds like an adult”
