I mean this is getting ridiculous! We are now up to offering millions, a house and a car to commit to a college football team?

Addison rumored to be receiving >$3M, plus house in SoCal from USC boosters via NIL funding vehicle.

If true, he’ll make more than Steelers’ 2nd rd WR pick and have a 2022 compensation package on par with Kenny Pickett, the 20th overall pick in the NFL. Was this Intent of NIL?

It’s here so we have to figure out how to win. As with any game, figure out the rules and fricking go win, don’t bitch about it.

Free agency will do more than NIL.

Having both unrestricted transfer rights and NIL will kill the game in a few years. It will have to change.

There's just no way this shite can keep going like it is.

For college football's sake, we really need A&M to go 8-4. We need this market to adjust because even LSU (hell, even Alabama, Clemson, etc) cannot compete at the prices going right now year in and year out.

It already has.

I’m willing to watch what some would consider an inferior product as long as long as we are watching STUDENT athletes play for their universities and the competition is fair and competitive.

Not a fan of NIL.

The rules are there. Not going to change. Be a winner, go win and quit bitching about rules u can’t change. Downvote me, but just figure it out and go win. Downvote if u have a vagina, upvote if u have balls.

it’s already happened. The game we knew and loved is gone.

I still will follow and watch, but the deep emotional attachment to the game is gone. And that’s very sad.

TAF pulls in like 80 million a year, just need to repurpose that $ and we’ll be fine

I've been there.

In the first half of the 20th century there were real students playing and the fans still had fun.

That was when schools like Army, Navy, Tulane, Vanderbilt, etc., were all competitive.

It's already ruined college football as we know it, CFB will become more like the NBA where the richest franchises amass all the talent. It will become obvious in a couple of years.

The interesting part will be to watch how the 18 yr old rich kids react. What do they have to play for now, can they look to the future and realize they have to play at a high level for their riches to continue? Can college coaches discipline them, or hold them to a standard? Who can actually achieve team dynamics?

It's going to be fun watching a lot of train wrecks the next few years, and watching those that pay the money to fund it get frustrated!

Overpayment will correct itself when some of these guys are bust. I think it’s a good idea to be involved without selling the house like A&M. It will become more efficient and may actually keep some prospects out of the draft.

I’m a fan of Chaos so I want to see one of these type guys bust. I want to see coach to player relationship issues. I want to see locker room turmoil. I want to see someone sue the university because they got hurt and their NIL money goes dry.

At this point the system will have to burn down before it can be build back.
