I think if Daniels struggles mightily against Florida and it’s more him than issues with the OL or scheme you start Nuss next week. You have to figure out what you have with Nussmeier with a full week of preparation.

Let’s not mention he is still our leading rusher. Take him out for Nuss & we lose a big part of our offensive production.

I think the opposite of this is true. If you have a QB who is capable of throwing the ball downfield, it tends to open up the run game and your offense improves overall. You become more balanced and you have the ability to come back if you need to go directly to a passing attack. The only reason JD is the leading rusher is because he doesn’t throw the ball downfield and looks to run as soon as possible.

I didn't know it was up to the fans to make that decision. Have you attended every practice? Do you know how those players are practicing? What they know?

Quite honestly, until you prove you are worthy to receive $10M/year as LSU's head coach, you are not qualified to ask or answer your own question.

The vast majority of this board was saying Nuss was total garbage and needed to transfer after the Southern outing with the pick 6, etc. This place has a short memory. Now I didn't want to throw him away for a terrible outing and I have hope that he can get better, but if that was against by far our weakest opponent, I'm not sure what you're expecting against much better competition.

I've seen what Daniels has and he can't throw down field. The receivers are frustrated. The team seems frustrated.... I'm at the point of at least giving Nuss a chance to show if he has "it" or he doesn't. Play Nuss or have defenses play a 15 yard defense the rest of the season

If Walker Howard is the guy next season, then it makes no sense to RS him this year. I cringe at the thought of our starting QB next season coming in with no reps at all, regardless of how talented he is.

Are you joking? JD is doing a hell of a job. It's not his fault. OL, WR, RB, Coaches...all are at fault. Not JD. Same at ASU.

JD will be our QB next year. He is currently being coached up.

So we can't have discussion and talk about our opinions on a message board because we don't make $10M/year?

I would have done it after FSU. BK will not do it. Only injury will lead to Nuss playing. That's it. Look for several more blowout losses.

There may be potential, but it is a very unrefined product so far.

Let’s just start with the obvious:

Daniels has plenty of issues as a passer. He absolutely over analyzes and that’s why you see him consistently behind on his timing throws. It’s not where he’s throwing it, it’s when he’s throwing it.

Now that being said, I dont Understand the “we have nothing to lose” crowd.

We’re 4-2. Nuss has a career 55% competing rate and a 3:4 TD:INt ratio. That’s not a winning QB. We can definitely get way worse QB play.

See what he does against Florida and Bama. Make a move if both of those are losses in which he continues to make the same mistakes. I don’t care what his stat line is. I’m talking clean pocket, no deep one on one pass attempts.

I feel like we are watching the
Booty/Davey/Nall dance again.

It’s not gonna happen

Nuss is terrible and will be passed by Howard as soon as next year

He’s not playing, move on

No kidding it's unrefined. Have you watched Daniels throw? Why do you think that group looks like they would rather be anywhere but on the field with Daniels. They don't even talk to him anymore.

He is terrible based upon that one start as a true freshman against a top 20 SEC opponent? You must mean the southern game. I agree...shite on the freshman for a bad game while pressing too hard.

Some common sense

These posters who have not seen a single practice in-person think they know better than our HC and staff

What we have seen us Nuss this year, and he looked worse than Daniels by a fair margin
