Because Bama has a cupboard full of 5 stars to surround the new QB with. It's like a buffet for Lil Nicky - he can just pick and choose studs to build a functional offense around a QB.

No other school besides GumpU has that advantage, so they work with what they have and (hopefully) build a team around the skillset available.

Notice I said "hopefully"....

It's not perfect every year for them, but every year they manage to put together a hoss of a team because of the raw talent they have on the bench.

So you blaming nuss for 2/6? Because 3 were good passes dropped. He did throw one away and Kelly chewed him...but Kelly chews on JD too

I'm not blaming him for drops. I was just stating that Nuss hasn't consistently done anything much better than Daniels when he has been in there to wipe out the Southern game memory just yet in the minds of the coaches.

And with the drops happening when Nuss was passing to them, then it's clear that our WRs have had issues with drops (regardless of who the QB is) and that our whole offense could do considerably better than what they have done.

They literally both were backups their freshmen year.

Give JD a half, then make the switch if he’s not throwing the ball or doing so poorly. I don’t know what the coaches are seeing in practice, but come game time JD is a dud. You literally lose nothing by pulling him for Nuss in this offense. Only way I can see JD being more than a byproduct of Kelly’s ego is if they actually start playing option football and letting the kid use his running ability.

Did you see Nuss in his last call to duty?

I'm of the opinion it should have been done, at the latest, during the Auburn game. Unfortunately, I'm with the camp that believes BK won't do it unless JD is injured.

At this point, I'm partial to running a two QB system that has Nuss as the primary signal caller and JD situationally using him in read options and RPOs which would force the defense to defend agst the run and pass while he's in. This would maximize both QBs best skillsets and accounts for neither have been consistent enough to earn the full-time job. Won't happen though.

I think you start him this week, if he plays well and we are moving the ball, you keep him in. If he shows zero improvement from the last two weeks and zero willingness to throw deep, you pull the plug at halftime.

Not saying Nuss will win the game, but if this was a 1A and 1B matchup, let the kids compete if 1A isn’t getting it done.

Later in the year if you truly believe the Walker is the future, ride with him if we are in a bowl and out of contention for the SEC.

Please make this nonsense stop. He’s not going to start next year. In fact, it’s likely he’ll play even less. Daniels will still be better than he is and Walker will get the playing time Nuss got this year. Or start, something GN will not do, now or then.
Accept it and quit making a fool of yourself.
