You are aware that Daniels is just a junior right? Why would they bring in another quarterback from the portal if Daniels comes back? For sure Daniels doesn't have a pro career waiting for him and where is he going to transfer to? Who would want him for one year?

So you blaming nuss for 2/6? Because 3 were good passes dropped. He did throw one away and Kelly chewed him...but Kelly chews on JD too.

He already has. The only way he starts this year is if check down daniels gets hurt.

If he wants to play he will transfer. That is, unless Kelly doesn't value his job here.

Boutte is also not making plays he should.

He has dropped so many catchable balls.

I’m tired of him getting a pass because Daniels isn’t great. Boutte isn playing like a future insurance salesman not a future FIrst Rounder

I shall remain consistent here.

I believe there is no downside to getting Nuss much-needed experience.

That said, JD is still the starter; however, Nuss needs PT, and the coaches should give him a few series each game. If he sparks the offense, leave him in. If he shows nothing in three series, put JD back in and coach Nuss some more.

IMHO we only have 1 sure win left on the schedule. We have nothing to lose by playing Nuss. He doesn't start until he learns it.

Incorrect. Nuss has come in for mop up duty in 7 games in 2 years. 55% completion rate 3 td 4 int. And this came against powerhouses such as Southern, New Mexico, and McNeese. He threw 2 picks against southern and went 3-10 passing against mcneese last year. The hype for nuss is completely unwarranted and he has shown nothing to prove he is a better option than daniels

I would give Nuss the opportunity. Might not change anything but it equally might.

This I agree with...he has a poor attitude. I get it, he doesn't want Daniels QB because he knows he wont put up numbers...as you prepare to head to the draft he wanted big numbers and knows Daniels doesn't offer that. Still, he has to show character and play hard ...teams will understand the QB issue

Or, just a thought, put Nuss in as QB and leave JD in as a gimmick back. He can run, he can throw (somewhat), can he catch? He won't block, however (unless you want to see him get folded in half by a DE).

Yeah, I know, downvotes ahoy. But whatever - talented, athletic QBs that switch positions are pretty prominent in the NFL lately (Taysom Hill and Travis Kelce come to mind). And no, JD is NOT built like either of those tanks, but for what he's skilled at he's got the right physique.

In the right spot I think he could be a very dangerous player. And, truth be told, it might be the only way he even gets a sniff of making it to the NFL.

It'll never happen, but daydreams (and daydrinking) are good.

That mf TF playing with second and third team last year...cut that MF. Lol. Got a gd 4 year starter with zero upside and is garbage...vs a freshman with a much stronger arm...but freshman is garbage because in mop up he is 55%...lol

If you have a 70% completion percentage and yet fail to score, is a 70% completion percentage that beneficial? I’m not saying Nuss is 100% the answer but what I am saying is that JD is 100% not the answer. He’s had 3 years that proved it. How can a school like Bama roll in a top QB and they look all American when they play, ie Tua and Bryce but for some reason LSU feels obligated to redshirt a top QB recruit like Walker. If he’s the answer, why wasn’t he the answer from day 1? Both Walker and Nuss have the ability to run. It’s not like they are statues in the pocket. They both give you a better passing ability over JD. I’ll take 55-60% completion percentage if it means more points and more explosive plays. Teams, especially SEC teams, know the playbook on how to play against JD. It won’t get any better, JD seems to regress with every SEC game that’s played.

or maybe Daniels runs because there's no faith it'll be caught?

I think you only put Nuss in if you think one of two things.

1) He gives you a better chance of winning.

2) He is the absolute future of the program.

I don't think the staff believes either of those things are true. Wouldn't shock me if he isn't on the team next year and we roll with Walker Howard next season and bring in another vet through the portal behind him. Just my opinion though. I would have played him against Tennessee in all honesty. I like Daniels for the most part, but he does some things that are fairly inexcusable for a QB with as much game experience as he has.

I'll be honest but with this year it was the perfect opportunity to just simply play a 2 QB system.

1 per half or once they get through x amount of possisions.

This is what should have been done if it truthfully was "that close" of a race.

He’s had a bad attitude since last year.

First game he drops a TD and doesn’t get his head around for a second TD.

That’s the first game. 2 TDS in the first game would have been a great start wouldn’t it?

Nobody knows what upside with Nuss because he hasn't been given the playing time that JD has been given. I'm not saying he's better than JD, I'm saying, at what point is it time to give someone else a shot at improving?

JD has shown little to no improvement.

I would have put Nuss in last week 3rd qtr. If he did well he stays, if not jd in for the 4th its been his rally qtr
