We are 2 wins from the sec title. We do everything we can to win.

The talk about sec tourney not mattering is casual fan talk. The players don't think that way.

Jump may get a couple of innings Sunday on 4 days rest. Same with Herring. If it is for a championship, they are available.

Herring only threw 33 pitches on Tuesday. If that jeopardizes his regional offering then he’s not an option but with that low pitch count he would def be able to throw a few innings on Sat.

Yeah Herring without a doubt will be available saturday. If the game is close in the 7th/8th inning I would not be surprised at all to see him come in. Jay will keep riding the wave as long as he can this tournament, but hes obviously not going to just throw out Jump/Holman again because that'd be a total waste and huge risk.

There are bigger games to be played. You don’t risk jeopardizing those just to win the SEC Tournament.
____________

Nobody is suggesting 100 pitches. Jump would have 4 days rest by Sunday. And he pitched at 9:30 am on Tuesday. Herring could also pitch some. Our coaches know what they are doing and won't send them out if concerned. We have to get thru Saturday first before worrying too much about Sunday.

Wish somebody would share info on what happened with Javen Coleman. Sure could use him tomorrow.

Jay runs a tight lipped group.

Before yesterday’s game Coleman was on the field warming up. Not sure if it’s injury, doghouse or something else

- 4/30 vs Grambling for 2 innings
- 4/16 vs UNO for 1/3 of an inning

No one is saying it did not matter to LSU up to this point, how much it matters is a function of how much it can help achieve the postseason. The next two probably won't do much for LSU except maybe get them a two-seed vs a three-seed and possibly affect where they play.

Players should think every game matters, it's the coach's job to decide what is worth risking arms for.

I believe the first regional games are next Friday 5/31, but I believe some regionals start on Saturday 6/1 possibly?

Also, I'm not sure why they've seemed so hesitant to use Kade Anderson on the weekends. Kid has dominated mid-week games and honestly had horrible luck when he was out there against TEN with weak contact that made it through and a quick hook. You don't strike out 13 in a mid-week game by accident (Southeastern - not a bad team).

You're thinking of super regionals

All regionals start next Friday

Have to go Anderson. Dude is way better starting than he is coming out of the pen.

I doubt he wants any of them to possibly have to pitch with short rest in Regionals.

We have four days rest, or maybe even five, before the tournament starts. That is not short rest for anyone who throws less than about 60 pitches.

If we need Herring to close out Sunday to win the SECT, he will be out there

He only threw 33 pitches on Tuesday and we wouldn’t play again for 4-5 days.
