Locker room cancer gets thrown around a lot here. Can you give an example of 1 player on this team that was a locker room cancer and explain how they divided the team?
In 2018 the locker room was split over Justin McMillan and Joe Burrow. Actually, McMillan had more supporters than Burrow. McMillan made things easy and quit. The rest is history.

More like shitty coaching hires. If the defense wasn't historically awful, this is a fairly successful season.
Good thing Shitty comments about our coaches help bring everything into focus. COVID- Opting out fiasco - Schedule changes - never knowing who when or why your next game could also be factors. Interesting Fact: the team about to win the National Championship is having a historically awful defensive season also...so fire 'em all!!

I think some people around here only saw Alabama play Ole Miss.

Gilbert is gone. Kid is a head case. Be gone.

When I was 19 I was a head case. If he wants to play for the Tigers, I'm all in and will pull for him to be great!

He is using the portal as a weapon against the staff. Also from what I have heard making some absolutely ridiculous demands. Once he found out what Kirby was offering he tried to use that as a barging chip. I know everyone gives extra benefits but The shite GA is doing needs to come back to bite them at some point.

Awesome. I’m sure after hearing about the comments from LSU fans that he’s champing at the bit to return.
Good grief, he'll catch flak wherever he goes with what he did. I wish the dude good mental health and nothing but the best unless we have to play against him, but he quit on his team, pure & simple.

that just speculation? or sources?

Pretty good source and I’ll leave it at that. Just know this kid is a cancer and the team is better off without him no matter how talented he may be.

Come back Arik!! LSU will be really good really soon. You will be a star!!
Orgeron is not going back to a pro set... LSU will sling it all over the place and has one of the best QB rooms in America.... you also have stud WRs.... less double and triple coverage for you... more production for you.

Just needs to get his head straight.
He might be having 2nd thoughts. We as fans should change our tune with Gilbert. The dude is going through some things. The best thing we can do is support him.
Yeah, if he is having some mental health issues, then I feel bad for him and hope things turn around for him. Also, he didn't even get to experience LSU like everyone usually gets to experience it as a freshman (especially as a football player playing in an empty stadium on a bad team rather than a rocking house on a Saturday night). I don't like that he quit during the worst time, but like I said, maybe he is going through some legit issues (he hasn't seemed like the type that craves attention 24/7 since he got here).
Of course, O did not help by saying Gilbert's body hurt or whatever he said. I don't know how he decided to go with that line when talking about a guy built like a train.

Idk about all that stuff but this kid quit on the team while being the #2 target in our passing game. Idc what he’s going through, he’s not the first and he won’t be the last to have “problems”.
Obviously it’s up to O and how bad we want him but I’m perfectly fine with this kid walking. We’ve never needed the greatest TE recruit to win in the past, and we don’t need it going forward.

Pretty speculative but where there is smoke...sometimes there is fire
I mean, Gilbert knows plenty about smoking.

This season proved more than any other that all the talent in the world can be derailed by bad chemistry and locker room culture.
It was derailed by bad coaching and leadership. That all starts with the HC.

Lol if he listens to this band of losers he is in trouble regardless

don’t care about his talent, this fiasco screams locker room cancer.
