Indifferent.
It's a healthier way to be.

My boundlessly naive and optimistic soul is always excited to see the purple and gold commence a new campaign. My mind isn't so easily deceived. It points to a rich body of evidence which suggests that the most likely result under Miles is another multiple loss season without a title.

I thus have irrational hope.

I'm always excited to watch the tigers play. However, I never buy into the media hype. I keep my expectations to a realistic level. No team is ever that great or that bad.

I love Les Miles as a person. He honestly isn't the greatest coach out there. I'm ashamed of the way the AD and university handled the end of this season.

Miles can't change the offense as he doesn't see an issue with it.

there's a lot of things to be excited about.

1) LF
2) maturing QB and WR's
3) improved secondary play

my overall feeling is one of being cautiously optimistic. our weaknesses definitely hold me back from forecasting any better than a 10 win year and second place in the SEC west.

1) no LBers. this is disgusting. Chavis fricked us here but damn it our HC should have been more proactive in recruiting backers.
2) OL. if we lose 3 guys we will, once again have a very young OL.
3) game preparation. offensive coaching staff just doesn't seem to have it. I blame Cam but who the hell knows. we seem to "waste" the early season games and just try to secure victory instead of also trying to get the O going. sometimes I think Miles tries not to show future competition anything but in reality is just not allowing the offense quality in game reps necessary to execute the passing game later on in the season.

in summary, I think we'll have a "pretty good team" that has some shining moments.

but, our negative fan base is gonna kill all the excitement.

Getting to the indifferent phase. I have completely given up hope that Miles will make changes and win the SEC again. Just hoping he only wants to coach one more year.

Agreed, but optimistic that if Miles shits the bed again in three games or more we can fire him and get a better coach finally.

If we have a surprise season and win 11+ games then who could not enjoy that (negatigers)?

I'm pessimistic that we will see anything but a continuation of tDecline and the same ole shite on offense under Miles.

I hope we don't turn indifferent and sink into mediocrity. We have the program and talent base to be elite again. We just need better coaching.
