I'm pessimistic to indifferent right now. I will get more excited as we approach the season, but it will be tempered, even more so than this season.

Excited but also preparing for the worst because I'm not confident LSU changes the philosophy of the offense and I don't trust Steele fully.

Its about the Purple and Gold!! I don't give a damn if its shuffle board championships and we finish last! I will be LSU until I die and then LSU until I die again!

Despite my pessimism regarding Les Miles' offense,

I am excited based on the facts, we will have a perfect blend of talented veteran talent, and a monster class coming in. BHarris, although not all-world, isn't terrible either. He's a serviceable QB better than JJ or Jennings. Will feel very good about our chances if Beckwith comes back. Guess we'll see.

Also, excited because our main competition (Alabama) is losing a ton of senior talent on their defense although I don't doubt they will be a tough task later in the year next year.

Ole Miss looks like it will be losing a ton of juniors to the NFL draft on defense.

I'm not all that excited about Les being back as coach, but I think we have the talent to win despite him. The bright side is if next year is squandered, pretty sure Les Miles will be done, so we'll have some finality next year one way or another.

Excited, with a side of indifference.

Excited about the potential: sophomores becoming juniors, a QB with a little more than a year's worth of starting experience (and with the same system/coordinator, as opposed to an all new coaching staff), and the recruiting class. We should be preseason top 5 with Bama and Ole Miss at home.

On the flip side, I totally expect Miles to field an undisciplined, unprepared team week in and out, and to eventually put together such a POS game against one or two of our SEC opponents (probably on the biggest stage) that we have no hope of making it into the playoffs.

It's the hope of a 1-loss or undefeated season, practically measured against the likelihood of 9-3 and another irrelevant finish.

Excitedly optimistic with expected aggravation followed by acceptance of status quo. Maybe we get lucky, 2011 proved that the right mix of playmakers can win in spite of,,,,,,,,

Nothing has changed and nothing will change so we can expect exactly the same from the team as the past several years. We will win 8 or 9. For me that is disappointing. Having said that I will be watching and cheering every down hoping for a better result.

Ditto what he said. Another trip to another lame bowl game and probably losing to another half arse team that we should destroy. All because Les is less.
