I am completely indifferent. I will still support the team and go to games but my expectations will not be high. After this year I just don't have any confidence in Coach Miles. He can't develop a quarterback. We will continue to be one dimensional.

Pessimistic

i felt we were but a good coach away from bama levels

After the handling of Coach Miles recently I realize that problem goes way beyond the coaches.

Current LSU admin are a huge impediment to the success of the football program.
They clearly believe in "Good Enough" (8-10 wins).

The peculiar thing is most blame Coach Miles for winning 8-10. I think he is doing what they expect him to do.

Always start off excited

Slowly wears off after watching a sputtering offense incapable of having any kind of adjustments or some kind of Plan B/C

ill never be indifferent. But I don't expect to be in contention for the west when the Bama game is over.... I expect 3-4 losses in 16

I always look foreward to football, but my expectations are pretty much zero. Very little reason to expect otherwise. I'm not letting myself get all emotional about it anymore.

Our Athletic Department has made a concerted effort to lower expectations and teach us to appreciate being pretty ok. I have submitted.

That's what being a fan is about.

I actually told someone yesterday that I wish I would lose a lot of my interest in LSU football. Puts me in a bad mood when they lose, and I waste way too much time on this board. Would be much better if I had the same interest level in LSU Football as I have in LSU Basketball. For instance, forgot that today's game was on until about 5 min. left (and only then because I opened up TD.com.). Didn't care that Simmons fouled out, and just laughed it off when they ultimately lost.

The two natties and the great 2011 team continue to keep my interest at a high level. But if this year's recruiting class falls apart, and/or we finish 8-5 next year, that's it. Until then,

Always excited for a new season. Always seems to fly by. I'm not any of those about next year. I'm interested. We'll be pretty aware of our team's potential early.

By the time next season rolls around I'll be excited about college football but not especially optimistic about LSU making the playoffs
