If they want the team to be competitive they won't have a choice.

Have to think there was more than a one year roster commitment to get Kiffin to come from the money

instant gratification

The biggest pitfall of modern society.

I thought, at 25yrs old, my life was over. I hadn’t made the money I wanted, drove the car I wanted, etc etc

Now I’m 35 and I realize I feel no different than I did at 25 and the time it took to build my life was worth more than anything this world could offer me

This is reactionary bull shite. It’s the most fun LSU has been since 2019. We are the cover story

LSU will return to dominating in short order and the shite talking today will provide unlimiteddddd ammunition

Ole Miss comes to DV next year, UK the year after that. We’ll welcome them, I’m sure

Note that Lane produced his best Ole Miss team in the second year of his spending spree.

Are you under the impression that big boosters thought this was a 1 year deal? Of course they will.

They shouldn’t, but as usual they made a hire that is going to have to rely on that as the only way to win.

Kiffin was winning at Ole Miss the previous three years with some of the most expensive rosters.

He’s not a good enough coach to win consistently with lesser talent he develops.

I hope they don’t invest the money. Make him earn the contract. You didn’t pay him that much to then have to buy him the most expensive roster in college football to win.

I would imagine that they didn't expect him to go all the way in year one. Hopefully not as emotional and reactionary as some in our fanbase.

No their going to pull the plug on their 150 mill $ investment of this year. They didn’t become millionaires and billionaires by thinking like the people on this board.Of coarse they will continue to support him,do you think he didn’t sit down with them and explain the whole situation b4 he signed here.If they had told him they would stop supporting him if they didn’t win all their games he would still be in MISSISSIPPI.

The big boosters aren’t small minded like people on this site. They have realistic expectations which is building a championship caliber program within a window of a few years not the first freaking season.

Where do you think the recruiting budget is coming from? Falling from the sky?

I’ll give you an actual answer. Yes they will spend, but not as much as was spent this offseason.
Wanted to make a splash this season with the amount of money spent and it being kiffin’s first year. Wanted a playoff year to set the tone.
That’s still in play but very unlikely. If we do not make the playoffs, I expect the spending will be cut down a bit.

What coach out there is good enough to win with lesser talent? Who would you prefer over kiffin?
