they were wore the frick out by the 4th in most games.

No not me i said “all we know for sure is he made a blitz call vs Ole Miss.” I inferred from the fact that we’ve had a lot different look on D this year, especially in sub packages, that if he’s doing this that’s where it’s happening.

It actually has more than “normal” suburban surroundings. It has several communities to fit the perfect family lifestyle (Henderson, Summerlin, Boulder City, and evening LV proper). There are mountains (with skiing) within 30 minutes, there is hiking everywhere- but most notably in the area Sloan and Red Rock (National Park). There are lakes, golf courses, and lots of stuff to do other than “the strip.” You are 2 hours from Zion in Utah, a few hours from the Grand Canyon..and easy drives to Phoenix, LA, San Diego, etc. little longer drive you are in Lake Tahoe..

Ok my bad I misunderstood. Fact is, and I didn’t want to say it because you get attacked for it here, but part of the issues on D was Orgeron being too involved. Too many 4 man fronts and cover 2 style looks which are Os bread and butter. Once Aranda was given more freedom you saw immediate improvements. Not to say O doesn’t know what he’s doing but he’s never coached the 3-4 so he’s really out of his element and shouldn’t be meddling.

That's what u said

Aranda needs to come out and squash this shite. Dude needs to be with the team that pays him now to finish this year. After the season do what you will, but right now focus on this team , shite.

Yes I do believe those changes are likely Os doing but like I said all we know for sure is what he’s admitted to. Now anyone with a brain can assume that the call vs Ole Miss isn’t the only time he’s done that but we don’t have definitive proof. See what I mean?

For the 2.5 million he's getting paid per year, I would have to agree. The minute the season is over, do whatever you want. If we were going to the Belk Bowl or something, I'd say do what you need to do, but he is pursuing a national title with this team. Who knows how much he is involved with this though?

I agree, UNLV? Even Bo Pelini was able to pull the Nebraska job from DC. And look at Muschamp at SC and Pruitt at TN. Hell Mushamp pulled the Florida job coming from the DC position. And Arandas value should be higher than or at least on the same level as the ones I mentioned.

I get what you are saying but the way it sounded was different

I just hope he wasn't meddling like that.
He doesn't even do shite on the sidelines.

Those other guys were way more vocal than Aranda. Aranda has had some very good defenses and has a good professional reputation, but he's not someone most teams probably think of as a head coach candidate because those guys are typically more vocal.

Yea I see what you mean, it’s because I was having an extended convo with another poster and the other thoughts had been addressed already.

Might just be Patrick Strong putting his name out there as a power move to gain leverage after this season for a pay raise and contract extension.

Wasn't he supposed to be going to Utah State last year too??

Considering LSU allowed 8.3 PPG in the 1st half of games and 13.5 PPG in the 2nd half it lends itself to be true.

steele actually has had better PPG rankings at auburn 3 out of the last 4 years than aranda here. i posted it awhile back. aranda beat steele in PPg in 2016. but 3 years after that steele has a better PPg at auburn. just sayin! neither are bad coordinators. both are good.

Oh well. He had a good run here.

His defense sucked the 1st 10 games of the year this year just being honest.

He’s not irreplaceable

If he truly takes this job I may actually believe he was pushed out

A man with options doesn’t take this job

There's no more money to give a DC. He's maxed out.
