It actually has more than “normal” suburban surroundings. It has several communities to fit the perfect family lifestyle (Henderson, Summerlin, Boulder City, and evening LV proper). There are mountains (with skiing) within 30 minutes, there is hiking everywhere- but most notably in the area Sloan and Red Rock (National Park). There are lakes, golf courses, and lots of stuff to do other than “the strip.” You are 2 hours from Zion in Utah, a few hours from the Grand Canyon..and easy drives to Phoenix, LA, San Diego, etc. little longer drive you are in Lake Tahoe..
Not downplaying your time, but when was that? Vegas today is not what Vegas was 5 years ago.
If you mean fantastic weather 9 months out of the year (and 3 months living on the sun), easy access through any airport anywhere at anytime, surrounded by mountains, close to California and about 50 national parks, and incredible and incredibly varied food options...then I think most enjoy.

UNLV is committed to investing money now (the Fertitta brothers specifically)

UNLV is about to be playing on a brand new NFL stadium being shared with the Raiders.

UNLV is a challenge for sure, but that takes some of the stress away from having to have immediate success.

Head Coaching gigs don’t come along everyday, and nothing is guaranteed from one year to the next.

Vegas is awesome.
Damn, got me on fast type common your/you’re mistake. Given the lack of punctuation or complete sentences here I didn’t take the time to edit - my bad.

Either way, welcome to the CFP, it’s nice to see you here. The fact that you aren’t pumped about playing a 12-1 P5 conference champion tells me enough about your actual knowledge of the sport outside of your homer cheering for your team.

I’m personally excited about this game - I think both teams match up well, and of course we would love to shut up the SEC love fest - doing it against one of the best teams I have seen in awhile would be great.

They are short, and have been affected by it - I’m not sure how Iowa StTe keeps coming up with 6’8 guys - but dammit they do.

While they are short, they are pretty fast and quick. Motley gets picked on a lot and has had an up and down career - but also has a short memory and goes 100 mph every play.

Tre Brown showed the no quit attitude they have adopted this year in the B12 title game running the Baylor track star from behind. If they scored on that play we lost, and he knew it.

While not our biggest strength, they are vastly improved over the past few years and are playing smart and hard to overcome the physical differences.
As long as we aren’t stuck with the dumpster fire of Big 12 officials, it’s a step in the positive direction.
Not quality losses at all, just losses.

That’s the thing about making the CFP (and previously the BCS title game), all but 1 go home with a loss in their last game...half of the lower tier bowls get to leave with a win.
I’ve paid to watch great wins and shitty losses, and will continue too...that’s what makes CFB great.
I look forward to the banter, and the game. Both should be fun.
Not at all, I’m dead inside. I just thought you might be better at this, apologies for giving you the benefit of the doubt.
I expected a better reply than this. I’m going to let you try that again.
Probably not, tough haul to get across country with holiday travel. Had it been Rose or Fiesta, easily would have been.

Was this to offer to buy me a beer or try and fight me?
Sounds like this must have hit a little close to hom(o)e for you.

Man, I feel like you might be over compensating on the gay bashing here. Are you trying to come out? I’m assuming these fellas will still like you, they seem like good folks.
That wasn’t calling you a a name, it was more of a collective towards the SEC crowd.

The guy I called Cletus was name calling though. Assuming that’s not his actual name.
Again, I know your slow, that’s why we actually play the games.

It’s not a raffle Cletus, it’s called the actual outcomes.
4 more and you are tied with us.
I guess not...since even though it was “considered” to take a a 2 loss non conference team...they didn’t.

Just like I’m sure all those ladies in the swamp bars have “considered” hopping in your pinto at the end of the Friday night family reunion.
Uh huh.

You morons and your “eye tests”, outside of your “SEC SEC” conference and ESPN, nobody else actually gives a shite. We play the games, and a one loss Big 12 champ is > than a 2 loss non champion.
You do realize that’s why they actually play the games, right?

And actually, South Carolina beating GA is why we are in.
Hahahahahahaha. Yup our record isn’t great in bowls...I mean they are almost all BCS or CFP games, but you go on and celebrate your independence bowl and weed eater bowl trophies.

Do you just hate commas?

Reading half the posts here is like trying to decipher your coach speaking.
Was relevant too big of a word for you to comprehend?

Meth smack, really? Sure we make more than you, but that’s because it takes the ability to read a recipe...not just throw random shite in and call it gumbo.
Only if you put Dennis Quaid back in to QBfor you.
This is funny. Relevance. Showing up this year doesn’t make you relevant...or are you just like Texas Jr. And claim anything people in your conference who beat you win?

Good news for us! You weren’t one of them.

Ok, that’s just hurtful.

And also tells me you don’t know anything about football
Why would we do that, we aren’t Texas.

I mean, we could print Heisman U.
Or QB U
Or a few others, but no - we aren’t DBU. Yet.
Well, I read on here that the OU fans shouldn’t be invited to tailgates...but you sir, you seem like you’d be a blast if you ever got invited anywhere.
