Anyone park in Lot 406 for football games?

I'm considering purchasing a parking pass in Lot 406 on Skip Bertman Drive. Does any one park in that lot and have an opinion on the lot? I need to get back to Lafayette after games and want to go north to I-10. Can you take a right off Bertman Drive, north onto river road to head to interstate after the game? And how hard is it to get out the lot? I parked there for Ole Miss few game years ago and it took 2 hours to get out the lot. That's why I'm hesitant.

I went from 409 to 406 last year. The walk was nicer, but it took at least an hour longer to leave once we got to the car. I mean traffic was not moving at all. I saw Jacob Hester walking across the parking lot to his car. That means he finished his post game radio show and made it to his car before I got out of the lot.
For reference, this was the UF game. We probably took an extra 20 min to get there than what it should have taken us.

According to the LSU parking map, yes you can.

I've had passes there in the past. If you can get to the lot early enough to park closer to Skip Bertman you are typically ok, if you are in the back of the lot, good luck.
Also, yes you can turn right on river road, but once October comes it puts you into that damned Haunted House traffic, so beware of that.

That's why people leave at half-time. Traffic is atrocious...

I got pushed to 409 this year, 406 was sold out

Anyone know what time you need to be there by to get a spot in 409 if you have a pass?

We’ve parked there for years, but made the switch to 403 this year. Last year wasn’t bad after games. However, with all of the excitement around this year and a good home schedule, I expect traffic to be problematic.

It’s why I just buy 412 on the end. Usually, it’s quick in and out after the long walk. Ive only had one bad experience leaving out of there (Florida game). For some reason, they blocked exits and weren’t letting people leave.

Hey man do you have an email where you can be reached? I can give you some great advice on where to park if you are trying to get out and headed towards Lafayette

406 was open (at least for non-renewable parking passes) when I looked around 2 this afternoon. We were buying in the parking garage before this year, but those were sold out. We went with 407 because my wife didn't want to spend the extra $100, and it's about the same walk as we had from the parking garage.

I couldn't pick until 3. it was sold out by then. 403 and 406 were available this morning

That doesn't bode well for traffic. Last year, there was plenty of space in the garage, and several lots were still open when I got on. Much less this year.

I just bring my PJs, furry slippers, donuts and milk. Put on the after game broadcast and fall fast asleep under the stars. When I awake there is no traffic to fuss with.

That’s where I usually park. It’s down river road and back on I10 to LC.
Now what really pisses me off is contraflow seems to change every game.
Sometimes it’s a straight shot to the interstate by Fast Time Pizza. Sometimes they make you go all the way down to the casino, then the hood, then loop back to the interstate.
