Just wondering… I know the south end zone project was a bitch.. but have there been any talks or news about a possible expansion to upper deck on the North side?

I’ve searched for twitter and news and such and couldn’t really find anything.

I was thinking that since it’s been a number of years since the last expansion, it may have come up…

Any links or input?

There shouldn’t be any more expansions to the stadium. It already looks horrific enough after half time of most games.

Capacity needs to be decreased, not expanded. It seems like they should take one of the upper decks, decrease capacity and make it more club oriented.

Why would LSU do that? They can't even sell out the stadium at its current capacity.

Someone might know where the link is, but a few months ago someone did post that above where the band sits, a standing room area with food & drink service would be there. Looked like professional graphics.

Probably because there aren't any plans to expand the north end zone

It won’t ever happen. The college stadium capacity arms race is finished. Aside from 1 or maybe 2 games a year most schools are having issues fully selling out their current stadiums

Should "expand" for the corporate entities by consuming empty seats and lower capacity of individuals, or the dedicated fan. Corporate attendees don't participate like the dedicated fan and suites would eliminate the "empty" look.

I don't think there is enough room to expand on the north side

They have talked about closing that road between PMAC and Tiger Stadium and making it one large pedestrian area along with renovations to PMAC by getting rid of the ramps

There should be a project to turn some general seating into club seating and reduce capacity to 85-90K. Also, they could put in chair backs but the fats on here don’t like that idea.

Expanding the stadium any further is a terrible idea.

North end zone just needs new bathrooms and concessions.
Agree with others that we need to reduce capacity. Add all seatbacks to both uppers.

What should happen is to tear down the west upper and add more club seating. There is still a high demand for premium seating. The reduction in capacity would also help the lower bowl attendance issues. You would lose no revenue due to the increased per-ticket price of the premium seating.

This. Start by taking out the bleacher style sests and put actually chair back seats, similar to the super dome, etc. And make them a little bigger, Louisiana is one of the fattest states in the US but everything continues to be made smaller and smaller.

In before, lose some weight fatty, it's the reality of the population. It sucks arse when you go to a game and the seats are so close together even people who would be seen as avg size take up more than their assigned seat, much less when 50% of the people in the stadium are overweight

Will never happen. If anything seating will contract in order to make the stadium more comfortable.

We pack the stadium full maybe every 2 years.

The noise won’t be different if we remove a few bleacher seats to replace with chair back.

When we took a tour of Tiger Stadium, the turf management guy said that they would likely not put an upper deck on the north side of the stadium because it would limit the amount of sunshine the turf would receive.

Tiger terrace are best seats in house. The south end zone club is probably second best.

Perfect height and vantage points.

I heard it was going to be 4000 psi Portland cement. Great choice.

There are plans within LSU Football, but this is outside the stadium. Woody has been giving money to the school, but holding back some to fund other things within the athletic department, long overdue.
You have to spend money to keep up within the SEC and other schools.
