Anyone else get the feeling we’ll be really good next year?

I can honestly see us winning the SEC next year and at the very least making the playoffs. The players we have returning, the true freshmen that balled out getting another offseason and training camps under their belt, Myles coming back and the emergence of Max, I don’t know man. Iron sharpens iron, and we’ve got plenty of iron. I just think we’re gonna be pretty damn good. The o-line really gelled the last two games and if I’m not mistaken everybody’s coming back, right? Talented wide receiving corps that will hopefully get a coach that’ll take a page out of Brady’s playbook and do another summer of 10,000 catches from the juggs machine. TDP and Emery both getting another year of training, along with Williams and Corey Kiner coming in, who looks ridiculous on his highlight tape.

We have the best kicker in the country and an absolute stud punter coming in from West Monroe if ZVR finally decides at 65 that he’s done being a college athlete. Stingley, should he play next year and not opt out as feared (dear 8 lbs 6 oz Lord baby Jesus let him stay) was always promised he’d get to play offense and defense his junior year, and we have three EXTREMELY gifted DB’s in McGlothern, Ward and Ricks, along with Flott growing into the position during the off-season going up against Boutte, Jenkins, Moore and Hilton. Todd Harris and Mo will both benefit greatly from the same. Linebackers have some work to do, but if we nab Freeman from Cincy I think he’ll coach them up. D-line should be absolutely filthy next year, especially if we do get Brooks back.

All the pieces are there. I think O knows it’s time to shite or get off the pot and will make really good OC and DC hires. I think we’ll play with a chip on our shoulder and play better as a unit because of this season. And, as disappointing as this season was, people need to keep in mind this team would been 8-5, possibly 9-5 with a bowl game in a normal year with OOC games and us being able to play in a bowl game. A down year, but nothing to throw a shoe over.
Excited for Saturdays.

TL;DR: We STACKEDDD, They FUUUUUCKEDDDD

We need better play from the linebackers, safeties, and the Oline if we are going to compete for an SEC championship next season. We also need some Tight ends and ones that want to block also.

I think Thompson will reeeally benefit from Moffit. Someone pointed out he’s the same size Gronk was in high school. Also, he doesn’t mind throwing a chip or, you know, doing what tight ends are supposed to do on run plays, block. And he actually wants to be at LSU and isn’t a drama queen, so he’s got that going for him I’ve nicknamed him Shoeless Kole lol

I think O knows if he doesn’t get at least 10-11 games or get reeeeal damn close and have the program on the upswing he can start packing his shite. I really think we’ll make slam dunk hires. The Grimes tweet really makes me wonder, though. I think we could do wayyyy better than him, but who knows. He could tear it up.

I'm just so excited about the o line fully returning, another year with those guys all back will be awesome
Also, Shanahan I believe will be better after an SEC off season, can't believe we are returnie on the O line and D line, full QB(best lsu qb room of my life)and RB rooms, WRs should be fine, CBs all back, lots of young talent at Safety. Maybe best kicker in the country and #1 punter, we better make a run this year cause if it doesn't happen this year it'll be a while

I’ll reserve my judgment until I see who the OC and DC are going to be.

Can you get your lips off Brady’s wang? Brady didn’t write that playbook; he aped what Payton’s staff taught him, and they didn’t invent that either. Coaches have been drilling WRs like that for decades.

If you want Brady’s success give LSU a HOF QB and seven other dominant NFL starter caliber players on offense (like Brady had). Notice Brady’s innovative methods aren’t working too well this year.

Simply put, no. We’re only going to have around 70 scholarship players next fall and won’t have near enough depth to make a run.

To call for playoffs when we have both coordinator positions open indicates you have a misguided faith in Os ability to both game plan and hire assistants.

Well, half of being a successful play caller is being able to call the right plays as well. It’s fantastic if you have a bunch of great plays in the playbook if you when to call them.

Holy overreaction Batman. Never did I say Brady was the only OC/play caller to have his wideouts use the juggs machine religiously in the off-season.

We're a shoe throw away from being 4-6 and one of ooc games was supposed to be Texas. We would have gone 5-7 with that defense. I am optimistic about next year but I'm realistic about this past season. We were NOT a 9 win team

Realistically, if we play well and hit on our coaching hires, 10-2 seems about right for what’s returning. We still have some holes on the roster depth wise due to the attrition after 2019. I think we’ll look much improved from last year though. Auburn, UF, Bama, and A&M will all have to replace key pieces next year.

I think the talent is there to make a run.

Need to see who Ed hires to coach them up though.

How do you know they are using those methods in practice? Things change when coaches change. Someone will always think their methods are better.

How is that even possible? We don't even have an OC/DC right now.
