Do we have a TE that can be a safety valve and stretch the field?
Do we have depth at WR to take some pressure off Boutte?

These are my two biggest concerns next year. I think we have WRs that can step up behind Boutte, either on the roster or coming in this freshman class. But it’s a legit question mark.

As for TE - I wonder if we run more 00 and 10 personnel now without Gilbert. Hell, we were basically running 10 personnel with Gilbert considering blocking wasn’t his strength and he split out a lot.

Realistically, if we play well and hit on our coaching hires, 10-2 seems about right for what’s returning. We still have some holes on the roster depth wise due to the attrition after 2019. I think we’ll look much improved from last year though. Auburn, UF, Bama, and A&M will all have to replace key pieces next year.

I agree, other than Bama, and even they will be in somewhat of a rebuild (For them), the SEC looks wide open next year. Bama will still be the team to beat but I think LSU can be at worst a NY6 type team next year. With the middle of the OL returning (Big Ed, Liam and Chase) that is really big. If 1 of Dare or Austin come back, we will be in really good shape as Wire has shown he can play at this level. IF both come back, then LSU has 6 OL that are SEC ready. Some of those young guys keep developing (Martinez got significant snaps in the Florida game and did well), Bradford, Dumervill, LSU can have a 2 deep group. LSU has good backs, some talented young WR (Boutte looks like a future First rounder).

Defensively, with Gaye and Farrell coming back, maybe Logan, etc, lots of talented young DB's, need some LB's to step up.

I think LSU bounces back next season.

Depends heavily on the new hires. And with the portal some guys arent going to like the new hires or where they are on the depth chart and might jet before the new season.

I think we'll win 10 games. We should be able to beat everybody but Bama. Without better Oline play or Brennan becoming like Joe burrow we can't beat them.

Improved, sure.

SEC champs? That’s a tall order 1 year removed from a 5-5 season.

Feels like a 9-3/8-4 season with a bowl win, & look out in 2022.

I feel that way every year at this time. I felt that way this year. Hopefully, they get in a spring practice.

We'll be good 10-2 ish.

But you need to calm the frick down.

You seem like the type to cry and laugh all within a 3 minute period

We had all of those players this year. We are soft at OL, our only hope is Brennan returns to 100 percent and with our elite WR’s we don’t need quite the elite OL to make it work. Special teams will be fine. If Stingley and Ricks stay healthy than we will have a damn good secondary, biggest concern on the defense will be the LB position and their ability to recognize and control the gap.

Most importantly is a DC that can come in and change the mentality, motivation, and execution of the defense.

We need better play from the linebackers, safeties, and the Oline if we are going to compete for an SEC championship next season. We also need some Tight ends and ones that want to block also.
