If they weren't running a high school offense with Max Johnson at QB, Georgia Southern would have beaten Clemson in death valley last night

GSU's DL completely dominated Clemson's OL all night, they struggled to even get first downs

People have convinced themselves LSU is going to win 50-10 every week.

No. Much of the fanbase has always acted like emotional woman-childs when dealing with the slightest adversity. Even the greatest, Nick Saban, had to walk LSU fans back from the ledge, coining the phrase "catastrophe syndrome."

My biggest concern is Leavitt's throwing. Seems timid and inaccurate. That has to get better or this won't be the great season we all want.

yeah because clemsons terrible. that has nothing to do with how we play really. the defense plays great regardless, no busted plans or missed run fits. no losing contain . the ends have great pass rush moves. the defense is a great unit and will be tough for any offense. thats a fact.

the offense will put up a ton of yards its just gonna come down to scoring in the redzone and taking care of the ball. thats a week to week thing. when we do that we will win and when we dont it will be tough to beat great teams . its that simple

I’m more optimistic about LSU football now than I have been in at least 3 years.

Can you imagine Columbus Ohio today? They're ready to fire the coach

Indeed. You are probably more sober as well. Some of these posters are loons.

My gut is this Saturday will be a VERY pleasant surprise. Barring injury from dirty play, I am more concerned about an aTm letdown.

No reason for QB1 to play so poorly throughout the first half. Learning opportunities, he will be ready vs OM. Damn I love our Tiger D and receivers/RBs.

No doom and gloom from me. I’m just genuinely confused at how we looked like a well oiled machine in week 1 and didn’t in week 2

It isn’t that hard.

Big week 1 matchup with one of the biggest games of the year in week 3 (maybe biggest game in Ole Miss history).

A let down in between vs an outmanned opponent isn’t a surprise.

It happens every year to multiple teams.

The fact that the “trap game” still resulted in a blowout win is promising.

I would expect both teams next week to be focused and firing on all cylinders.

And if that is the case, we are just better than them and will win

Hope it was a wake up call. Leavitt and the OL looking like arse against La Tech is a disappointment.

Even if we knew we had a brand new OL and a QB who is known for being a bad passer.

I'd be surprised at how hard everyone's melting except you have to look at the statistics to see the sky isn't falling -- we beat the snot out of them. The play was sloppy and we're used to being hurt. I'll excuse it for the week

I’d say a little bit of doom and gloom is kind of justified. A little bit. That was an unbelievably bad football game from LSUs offense.
