Haven't heard much about it since the wreck. just curious on the mans condition.
If they wanted you to know they would have told you.
You created an account just to post this question?

Told him specifically? Maybe he wasn't online a ton and missed some new info that came out this week. That's why he was asking the question. Why are you so upset about someone asking a question about a LSU football player on a LSU message board?

He's a minor so LSU said they can't/won't release any information.
This is probably the last info we'll get until the players report for Spring practice.

Colin would like to thank the first responders, the incredible doctors and nurses at Our Lady of the Lake Health and the many Tiger Fans for their care and compassion. Colin is resting and is stable while more tests and care are being administered. We are confident that Colin will make a full recovery from this terrible accident.

I could know the information or you could know and neither of us can say because of HIPAA.

He’s only 14 years old. Leave him alone.

There are no reports, because there’s nothing to report.

To funny,This board needs a little more humor like this. Sometimes it feels like a bunch of arrogant Yellow Hammer bama fans. And humor is the best medicine for a season that didn't meet expectations.

That’s just BS.
A basic timeline and update on how he is doing is certainly possible.

I'll be straight up honest with you. I would like to know if a blood test was administered to determine if he was under the influence. If one wasn't administered, why not? From what I understand, he was fairly unresponsive when found so I assume that means he couldn't have done a field sobriety test.
Maybe since he is 17 and a juvenile, the results would not be released no matter what they were. don't know?

If there is significant blood loss sometimes the ER staff won't allow a sample to be taken. (Apparently spilled blood scooped up off the floor or whatever isn't a valid sample.)

There is no timetable for LSU rising sophomore quarterback Colin Hurley's return to the field almost three weeks after he was involved in a car crash near LSU's campus, coach Brian Kelly said Wednesday.
Kelly said Hurley is now recovering in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. Kelly noted that he has visited with Hurley multiple times since the crash and spoke with his father on Tuesday.
quote:
Because Hurley is only 17 years old, Kelly said "a lot" of Hurley's recovery has been left to his family.
"It's a day-to-day situation, and talking to his dad, Charlie, there's really good progress," Kelly said. "So, I think we all are coming from a similar perspective in that we're hoping for the best."

This article is from Jan 28th.

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — LSU freshman quarterback Colin Hurley, 17, was hospitalized after a serious car crash near campus early Thursday, Jan. 16. New details from LSU Police shed light on the events leading to the accident.
The single-vehicle crash occurred around 2:47 a.m. at Highland Road and South Quad Drive. Officers found a 2021 Dodge Charger driven by Hurley had veered off the road and struck a tree. The crash report stated the airbags deployed, and Hurley, who was wearing a seatbelt, was found unconscious with a large laceration on his face.
Emergency responders extricated Hurley from the vehicle, and he was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Health for treatment. LSU Police contacted his father due to Hurley’s status as a minor.
Surveillance footage reviewed by LSU Police showed the Charger traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Highland Road, crossing the intersection at West Parker Boulevard shortly before the crash. Fresh tire marks at the scene indicated an attempt to brake before the vehicle hit the tree.
No alcohol or drugs were found in the vehicle, police reported.
On the day of the crash, Hurley’s family released a statement expressing gratitude to first responders and medical staff and said they were confident he would make a full recovery.
Hurley, a quarterback from Jacksonville, Florida, is part of LSU’s 2025 recruiting class and enrolled early to participate in spring practices.
This remains an active investigation.

So online courses and no workouts. I guess it was pretty serious for no reports.

Yeah that sounds like no spring ball for him if it's bad enough to go back home and not even be at school. Time to start looking for a potential transfer who is willing to mostly soak up knowledge and practice reps.

He's not coming back, time to move on baws.

Amazing that nobody at a Baton Rouge media outlet catches this obvious error. Journalism in 2025.
