Dollars are going to players now. Not facilities. Have you read about the financial hole the athletic department is in?

Unfortunately the money isn't going to the gameday experience anymore, it's buying players. Plus, as much as I and many others in Baton Rouge love baseball, the football arms race will always take priority.

This is true but it’s still somewhat depressing seeing other schools upgrade while LSU doesn’t.

Which only leads us quicker down the path of private money being infused in order to do all of the things that need to get done...unless congress passes something that caps/limits what you can pay players.
Either way, I believe private money comes into play soon.

facility upgrades maybe a thing of the past as the money now goes to the players. Only so much money to go around

We’re all aware. I don’t think anyone is claiming that upgrades to Alex Box would be for the players.

Why can’t fans just go to the game sit in their seats and enjoy having the best CBB program in the nation.I enjoy going to the BOX and have no issue with the facilities.Why does everybody have to keep up with the Jones, it ain’t hurting recruiting and selling season tickets.Stay home and watch if it’s so bad.

the ones who upgrade aren't usually the ones in the football arms race too. arkansas, vandy, mississippi state. A&M already spent all their money and its clearly worked out great for them in both sports.

In the world of NIL, you have to decide how to spend available cash. Do you invest in Box upgrades when you sell out the games with the Box as is or do you invest in NIL to players so you can continue to sell out games?

USM desperately needs that upgrade. Their stadium is weak.
Alex Box needs to match the program status. If it just had more covered seating we would be almost there.
