Internal control? We didn’t play or roster the players. The lawsuit for the players to join our team was by the players not LSU. Tennessee coach spoke of throwing golf balls and other things at our players and coaches and you hear nothing from the SEC. Alabama played a pro player last year and nothing. Other conferences are allowing those “pro” players like those interested in playing for us realizing that they thought they were out of eligibility until the NCAAs late ruling. We have played this by the book and by every rule in place. We sought our grievances through court not left to chance. And now we have to take the abuse of an SEC that has Lane Kiffin derangement syndrome. Hopefully Congress or something Stanley listens to will attempt some fairness into this process.

By breaking a rule that wasn’t clearly written until the news broke that we had recruited said players. In particular the distinction between rookies in minicamp and rookies on preseason rosters was far from clear until a couple of weeks ago.
If this gets to the merits the SEC will get destroyed on that front. All of these other schools reached out to and “recruited” 5 for 5 guys who went through the draft process and minicamps. That’s without even getting into Ole Miss and Vandy helping Chambliss and Pavia with their eligibility.
Trying to ex post facto act like there was some sacred prohibition against helping players become eligible through lawsuits is disingenuous at best

Defendants waged a deliberate and coordinated campaign to recruit professional athletes to play football for LSU during the 2026-27 season
And so did most of the SEC. Hell, some of them played these guys already. You bet that any of these schools would have taken any of these guys if they could.

Alabama rostered a pro player and played him in games. There is no justification for punishing or kicking LSU out. None.

This is the most absurd line of smooth-brained bullshittery I have ever laid eyes on.

I thought the CFP was a separate entity? SEC about to drag the NCAA and CFP into this lawsuit.
