Then why did he transfer here in the first place?

You don’t think circumstances have changed, or at least clarified, since he transferred? When he came, there was the chance Nuss would go pro and he would be the most experienced QB on the roster in 2025. Now he would be at best 3rd string next season.

When Nuss went out and he came in, after two plays, I said he’s not the guy

I try to be somewhat forgiving on a guy who has hardly played during the season being thrown suddenly into an SEC game due to an injury. As I remember vs OU, he threw 3 passes...the easiest pass in the world which he completed and 2 passes that weren't even in the zip code of the target. As I remember, they were both widely high so maybe it was adrenalin. But a veteran like him should have a little poise...he didn't. Glad he is leaving.

Swann is nobody's idea of a great QB but, as a young player, he played a good deal for Vandy, as i recall.
He was recruited as a back up for Nuss, so we would have somebody with SEC game experience could come in, if Nuss sent down.
We only had a small sample size when Nuss got hurt and Swann came in, but he played poorly .
I suspect he is a bit better than he showed in his brief appearance, and folks are being too harsh here in their contempt for him.
I appreciate his service.

Those who are downvoting you are ignorant.

I totally agree that LSU should not go into next season with only three scholarship QBs. That’s not to say that we’re going to use or need more than that - but you absolutely don’t want to get caught short handed.

I’d also offer that you don’t necessarily have to bring in someone with the mindset of a “4th string QB”, but can go ahead and look at another guy who can compete for the job in 26.

He surely put up a fight with his own mouthpiece in that Oklahoma game though. I kept laughing because he couldn’t figure out how to get it to and from his mouth with ease. You could clearly tell he never wore his helmet. He eventually just ripped the whole thing off

There are still walk-ons and worst case scenario Ju'juan could take snaps. If we lose Nuss, VB, and Hurley, the season is over anyway.

I understand the sentiment but Brandon Harris?! Seems like a terrible comparison! I remember being at the Miss State game when Harris came in for mop-up duty, he threw 2 tds in under a minute and almost pulled off a comeback! I also saw Swan in person at OK game and he looked like absolute trash. I’d be surprised if he could win starting job at Nicholls.
