Complete bust? Our DBs are elite, the only good players on the OL are transfers, and the WRs have not really had a chance with how bad the QB/OL play has been. We also got a transfer QB that may be taking over for the rest of the year and could be our starter next year. I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that the transfers are a bust.

It’s about getting a coach that builds a sustainable program, one that can come in this year and convince the vast majority of players to stay because they believe what that coach brings will lead them to a championship and to the pros all the while growing them into more quality men.

For Arnsparger you might want to carve out in there Ed Zaunbrecher . He really could convince offensive talent.

Also, Jerry Stovall really did a great job on the recruiting end. A lot of key contributors in '86 and '87 were Stovall recruits as they were 4th and 5th year seniors by that time

First of all, the transfer portal window is not in December anymore. It's 2-16 Jan '26.

Second of all, you have no clue what the predominant factors Verge/BoS is considering for the HC hire. Verge said they are willing to wait if their right guy is still coaching in the CFP.

Sit back and let the process play out w/o being so presumptuously arrogant about what you think is or should be occurring for HC hire.

Dinardo above Arnsparger? That's dumb.

Arnsparger won the SEC and made the Sugar Bowl. Dinardo never did that. He made a bowl game all three years. Left enough talent for Archer to win to win for two years.

You're seriously putting a guy that never coached a game above Miles? That makes absolutely zero sense.

Seriously? 10 of our 18 transfers started against Alabama. Really 11 if you count Chadwick (punter). Could go up to 12 next week if MVB starts.

Par for the course, I guess.

Sharp is a bust. Can’t block and less of a passing threat than guys we had.

Defensive line transfers (interior and edge) have not performed to expected level.

Only WR that didn’t bust is Brown.

Haulcy, Delane, Moore, and Brown are the only difference makers we got.

The portal guys have actually worked out pretty well for the most part.

Recruiting is no longer a huge part of college football. NIL has robbed the spirit from college ball. College football is now a business and Cash is king.

If you look at the players each HC signed who subsequently went to pro football, Stovall did not do all that well. He’s behind Arnsparger for instance.

Because as a whole they did not live up to the expectations set by the coach and the media.

Les Miles was our best hire ever.

Nah, not even close. In fact, the hire that was most universally praised at the time of occurrence, in my lifetime, was Arnsparger.

If going by resume prior to accepting g at LSU our best hires ever are:

1.) Brian Kelly
2.) Nick Saban
3.) Bo Rein/Les Miles very similar in accomplishments

Performance here is another matter altogether.

I listed the 4 that have made significant impact.

Which others?

Arguably Cooley, Payton, and Pyburn could be the next tier, but those have simply been serviceable starters, not difference makers, thus far.
