Yeah, they’re so good, they’re kicking extra points, now???

Van Buren should have replaced Nussmieir at QB.

Dumbest fricking take, ever. Even injured, Nuss is better than MVB.

He was almost as bad as Zack Johnson in the game against where Zack tossed the ball backward over his head.

Who the frick is Zack Johnson?

Me and you have very different views of the success we expect here at LSU.

Damn. I didn’t realize all the Coaches had to do was “change their approach “ on Defense & then all the mediocre defensive players would’ve magically played like All Americans & boom LSUs the NCs!!!

Well, lucky for them, they didn't have to be All American's this year. They just had to be moderately better than awful.

LSU tried to play a "bend but don't break" style of defense for the most part during that season in hopes of just holding opponent's to FGs. The problem is they were STILL breaking with that style and giving up huge plays. They would have been better off being a defense that took more chances to try to create pressure. Sure, opponents would have still hit big plays and scored. But that change in style could have given LSU the few more stops needed in the game to beat an Ole Miss, or even Alabama who was helpless to stop LSU before Daniels was knocked out. But simply just maintaining the status quo wasn't getting the job done.

For example: There was a spot in the 3Q of the Ole Miss game where LSU was up 42-20. OM went for it on 4th and 5. To that point OM had scored 5 TDs on 9 possessions with two FGs on others. LSU brought the house on 4th down and stopped OM. LSU then took over and scored a TD to make it 49-40. After that, LSU tried to play bend but don't break defense again. They broke...and OM won. That night OM was going to score on most of their drives. So was LSU. But you only needed maybe 1 or 2 more stops. It was worth rolling the dice with a different approach. LSU didn't...and lost.

This year LSU is not running the football well no matter how much they wish they may or wish they might. That's been the case for the better part of now 16 games. Whether the OL can't block the scheme, the RBs aren't seeing the lanes, the approach relies on the QB being a threat to run that Nuss simply won't execute, or a combination of all 3, it simply isn't working. Continuing to try the same thing hoping for different results is dumb. A coach's job is to find the approach that works best for his players...not forcing the players to try to execute something they can't do well.

The “just win” folks seem to be forgetting that we’ve played terrible teams so far. It’s easy to have a “doesn’t matter just win” attitude when we haven’t played an actual team yet.

Just win, baby.

Actually you just showed your ignorance. He’s fricking hurt and been in the program going on 5 years.

You don't know football. I am not going to explain it to you. If you choose to believe the offense is struggling due to his "injury" then be my guest but no that is ignorant. That might be why he didn't hit Barion Brown against La Tech but that has nothing to do with the offense as a whole. If he was actually that hurt he would have sat out against La Tech.

You expect him to make a gumbo in a microwave.

Do your high expectations come with donations to help the program?

I’m realistic- I know what started with and I have seen other coaches do a lot worse in similar situations. He has been a lot more successful than Napier

You are as moronic as they come. I promise I know much more about football than you do. Kelly even said it, they’ve been holding back due to his injury. He absolutely missed that throw to Brown due to his injury. If you’re too dumb to understand that a torso or a knee injury could limit him from making throws I don’t know what to tell you. You know jack shite.

Not implying I know a ton jackass. It’s more of an insult to him because he’s obviously dumb as rocks. Not my fault that went over your head. God I love seeing morons like you post little quips that you think are funny….

And the fact you picked the most irrelevant part of that post to comment on. Petty and childish. Status quo.

.

I say this as someone who’s been fairly critical of BK.

He’s already an elite coach. Has think a little over 300 wins now as HC, currently the winningest coach in CFB.

Literally the only thing missing from his resume is a Division 1 National Championship.

Well the offense should only get credit for 10. One of the FGs was set up by the defense when the offense did nothing with the ball

Proves you don't lmfao. How does Nuss injury have anything to do with route concepts where the spacing of the routes are incorrect and too close to another receiver? What does that have to do with the offensive lines struggles in doing their job in the run game? What does that have to do with improper wr alignment based on their routes? What does that have to do with predictable play calling and bad tendencies?

If he was "that hurt or limited" he wouldn't have played against LA Tech. Again a specific throw such as the throw to Barion Brown against Tech could've easily been why he didn't make that throw. But he showed zero signs of anything impacting him against Clemson. You're hilarious if you think they're "holding the offense back" due to this "injury." Again if he was that limited or hurt then he would not have played against La Tech.
