Yeah just like I heard last years offense was supposed to rival 2019’s last spring

I don't think you're familiar with how Lane works. No position is guaranteed. They just look at total spend on a position.

That guy is a fig
He wants to be the LSU version of Clay Travis so bad.
All he does is cherry pick tweets from the lowest common denominator and picks social media fights with them because he knows he can win.
His actual football (or really any sports) knowledge is that of a 17 year old NBA fan.

Good, that’s why you brought in Longstreet and Clark. When Leavitt comes back he isn’t going to have much time so a couple hungry, talented dawgs pushing him everyday is ideal for us.

Sunk cost fallacy. LSU didn't pony up all that money for Lane to have him start the 2nd best QB, assuming everyone is healthy. I'm not saying Preston knows anything, but I'm assuming there will always be competition at every position under Lane.

I'm excited for that RB from Wisconsin LSU got. Reports have been he's been running with the 1s. His film was impressive and I was a little shocked he wasn't rated higher coming out of the portal. I think he was hurt all last year and that basically killed his evaluation. LSU may have got a steal on that guy like Kiffin got a steal on Lacy. Not saying he'll be that good but this guy will probably surprise.

Preston Guy trolling the rant on rustiest hook in the box.

I think people just dismissing Clark or Longstreet potentially starting are being a little naive. That's not to say I think they will, but Lane has already stated that the depth chart is constantly changing and no one is guaranteed a starting spot, especially at this point since it's just spring practice.
That said, I still think Leavitt is the starter, but I don't think he'll be that because he's getting paid a lot of money as a few here have suggested. I think he's the starter because he'll give us the best chance to win. Of course, I'm basing that on him being a full go for the start of fall camp and being able to practice at 100%. If he's not, then obviously that changes everything.
It also wouldn't surprise me if Longstreet or Clark is the starter at the beginning of the season. I think it'd be Longstreet because it seems like Clark has much more work to do to with accuracy to be able to start in this offense. But they're both getting some very important reps right now while Leavitt isn't able to practice. Certainly wouldn't shock me if Longstreet uses that to his advantage and comes into Fall camp with a slight edge over Leavitt as QB1.

Simmons looked fine before injury
Uh, no he didn’t. That offense under Simmons had some struggles.

I just want the qb who gives us the best opportunity to win. I don’t care how that happens or who it is. I’m sure Lane sees it the same way.

Laughable , he sucks

Maybe instead of the attacking the message let’s just enjoy the fact that we look to have multiple good QBs on the roster, instead of having to start a busted up Nuss because the backup QB isn’t worth a shite

2027 is Longstreet’s team.
Leavitt is coming off injury but he’s far more experienced and will be your 2026 starter.
I feel good having a solid QB2 option.

Statistically in passing and total yards, they did.

As a coach, isn’t that what you want though? A backup who can truly push for the starting job.

Leavitt isn’t healthy enough
If hes not healthy for the game, that would mean he missed most of fall practices. If course he wouldnt play and would be done.

I would not think any quarterback expects to be handed the starting job. Let the chips fall where they may. You can’t plan for the future. You have to re-recruit your entire roster over again every offseason anyway.
