It is more likely that Lane and company pushed a very bland and obvious scheme of play calling to not give Ole Miss or A&M as much film, and as others said, to work on some things, assuming the players are simply going to dominate. They expected the players to be better to just overwhelm them, like coach Boone in Remember the Titans said. I have 5 plays and just execute better than the other teams.

In the end, it didn't work, and a lot of that may still be issues with the OL gelling, but I think they are a lot better than they showed on offense in the La Tech game, and the scheme will help that massively this week.
