Good evening! Signing in here from Southeastern Ohio. This region of Ohio is painted PURPLE AND GOLD. It’s wild how LSU has taken hold around here. We are proud to be part of YOU! Here’s a nice article I’d like share. This is my first post so hang in there with me if this doesn’t work please. I’ll also have a couple other things I’d like to share if I can figure this out. LINK

Was very happy to meet a bunch of you folks in Nashville. Good karma from all points of the country can’t be a bad thing. Welcome aboard.

Thank you! What’s happening right now is pretty darn special. There’s an energy around here that really can’t be explained. What a season!

Welcome brother and don’t be a stranger. The people of Louisiana are genuine and very passionate about football. Once you become part of the family, you will be treated like royalty. Words can’t describe what Joe, the coaches, and players have done for the LSU faithful. Such an unbelievable story as this kid is a LEGEND

We obviously love Joe, but I am incredibly impressed by how much the people of Ohio have adopted LSU. Thanks for being a part of Tiger Nation.

Has anyone mentioned the watch party for the SEC championship game we are having up here?
We go to church with Joes mom and dad. The church they attend is hosting an LSU tailgate and watch party on Saturday. CBS is sending a truck and camera crew to do a live “look in” during the game. I’ll try to get some of that info on here too if I can.

One thing that makes all this so much fun is that LSU has a long and storied tradition of home grown talent making it big at LSU and the NFL. Joe is considered one of us now & will go down in LSU's history as one of OUR great ones. The Jeaux Burreaux thing started small last year & now there is a billboard on a major highway with the photo of Joe in his Senior Day Burreaux jersey. And the guy loves gumbo & shrimp poorboys like a true Cajun..

So on Jan. 13th when LSU and JB are playing OSU who is southeast Ohio pulling for?
Posted on 12/5/19 at 10:39 pm to ksdolfan
Southeastern Ohio is pulling for LSU! We are one of YOU! I’m sure there are still plenty of osu fans in the area but I can tell you that seeing LSU shirts, hats, and flags has become normal in this area of the state. We have jumped on board and we are ALL IN with Joe and LSU.
Southeastern Ohio isn’t what most folks think of when they think of Ohio. SEO is a hard working, blue collar, tough area. It’s a rural area. People in this part of Ohio will compete hard and pull for their schools but when local teams or players go do great things people rally behind them and join together as one. That joining together as one has brought us together as LSU TIGERS! Let’s go!

Finally, a bearable brand of Ohio people making their way here.

Thanks so much for posting that link. I just read it all.
Just to let you know how things are down here. It’s not like LSU is a small college with no real football history. I mean, we’ve won two recent national titles and had about a 5 year run of producing the most NFL players. I guess I’m saying this town isn’t easily starstruck. But what your boy Joe has done the last two years has made him one of, if not the most popular players in LSU history. What he did on senior night will be talked about for the next 80 years until everyone who was there that night has passed away.
I happen to sit in Tiger Stadium not far from where the players’ families sit. I have watched the Burrow family be treated like royalty by the regular fans. The Burrow family has been so gracious as they smile and pose for selfies with fans in the stands. Imagine that, the fans want pictures with Joe’s parents.
In appreciation for your link, I’ll share one with you. This is a local sports talk radio host opener on Monday of this week. Enjoy and feel free to share with your friends.

To all of y'all
Re: burrow. As a long time college football fan, I'm not even sure I'm watching someone on the same playing field as everyone else. It's like he's an NFL QB playing against a jv high school team.
As an LSU fan that has endured years of subpar QB play, it's hard to fathom we could go from guys like Jordan Jefferson and Brandon Harris to Joe burrow. Hell, even compared to guys like Flynn and mettenberger, it's not even remotely close.
