Aggie jokes write themselves.

And then they probably do communal gay stuff.

I tease A&M a lot, but I truly do like some of their traditions. Yell practice, Yell leaders, don't step on grass, Saw Varsity snuggle with your neighbor in stands, and Hullabalu are not among them.

Come to think of it, the only one is kiss your girlfriend when team scores.

Nevermind my failed point.

That’s 20 minutes of my life that I’ll never get back. I can’t believe that anyone at Texas 8&4 thinks any of those “traditions” are cool. And what is with the gay curtsy after firing the cannon or telling a lame joke? Just pathetic and embarrassing

I live here in Texas and work with way too many Aggies.

One on one, they are very nice, if somewhat “odd” people. Good neighbors and coworkers.

But get them in a group of three or more and the cult switch flips.

This is a great look in to their “traditions” and weirdness:

quote:

Most individuals attend college to obtain an education and to prepare them for their professional future. Between matriculation and graduation, friendships are made, hijinx are enjoyed and memories that will last a lifetime are collected. …and then there are the students of Texas A&M.

I had no clue what to expect from the video, but I never expected THAT! There's something wrong with those people, very very wrong. It has to be embarrassing for all Aggies to know that the entire world can see that video.

I'll never forget the road trip we made to Aggieland in 95'. The ol DiNardo debut season. We lost like 5 in a row to Aggie and we of course snuck in booze, got hammered, got yelled at but by the middle of third quarter we had "the whole LSU section" chanting TEE-DOO right after the Aggies Whooped. It was classic and man did it piss them off.

People who work as janitors in concrete yards probably shouldn't call other people hillbillies!

Does the one guy who keeps kicking his leg up and slapping his arm/shoulder while he’s talking have Tourette syndrome or is that part of their gig? Weird AF

Don't cheat yourself. Watch the link in its entirety, while remembering that this isn't a bootleg video taken from some intruder's cell phone. No, the Aggies themselves put this online so that all their cult members could, what, yell along at home?

The hand signals. The milk men with their white, sleeves-rolled Village People outfits (in this case, personalized overalls for the Yell Practice).
That little effeminate skip they do that apparently is supposed to tell them that it's a little joke. The clasped hands and arm thrusts (use your own imagination if you haven't seen it yet).
And then after they signal, they all do that backward, one-legged hop thing to get into full bathhouse position.
It is beyond weird. It will make you cringe.
But most of all, it will explain the Aggies in all their Aggieness.

I mean, who sings their entire fight song about their arch nemesis? ("Goodbye to texas university..."

The one perhaps cool thing is when they do sing the Aggie War Hymn, they all bend over and sway to the music as they "saw varsity's horns off." When you attend a game in their stadium, you can feel the place swaying, as if it's an earthquake. They actually designed the grandstands with that in mind.

Just watch the whole video clip and judge for yourself. I felt like I was watching some hidden video from a cult meeting or a Klan rally.
