Why would you take away anything from this season? They went 0-15 vs teams that had a winning record in the SEC.

That is a legit bad awful team. The fluke isn’t this year. We have a giant sample size of games to conclude this team is awful.

The fluke was last year.

So the fluke isn’t the only season he’s missed the tourney here, but the second national title he’s won.

That makes sense.

Paul was fired with a way better record than that over his last 5 years.

Has anyone pointed out the fact that Paul wasn't fired? Or that Paul's first 5 years were virtually identical to Jay's, except for Jay having 2 NCs and Paul not making a regional twice in his first 5.

With 2 WSC in three years. JJ will right this ship and you can whine about something else.

That CPM was almost uniformly despised his last few seasons here, and has now re-entered the comparison to CJJ discussion, ought to tell us how bad Jay botched this season.

FTR, CPM missed the field in his first season ('07 - I doubt many of his most ardent despisers hold that against him) and in '11 when we went 13-17 in the SEC. That was our SEC record in '24 when we did make it.

Jay has sucked arse outsides of the two Natty years. He really needs to show more consistency at a place like LSU

Four pages of responses on a post that should have been ignored. Some of you need to rethink your lives.

17-13 in the conference with no starting pitchers is "sucking arse"?

He has done nothing else of note besides the 2 nattys, and he had to have 1 HOF trajectory pitcher and 2 elite prospects last year to get that.

This year was a sickening performance.

Paul was asked to resign or he was going to be fired. Believe what you want, we did that same save face shite with Dale Brown years ago.

He must have been the coach for a good 15-20 years then with no significant results in a long time to be that frustrated with him.

Oh wait.
