Dave Roberts also has 2 World Series rings. 3 if you count the covid season. You think the Dodgers are giving him a lifetime contract? If he went 60-102 (which is essentially what LSU did this year), he’d be fired immediately,

If Dave Roberts, coming off of two world series wins, lost 100 games this year, he would absolutely not be fired.

He also signed the richest contract in MLB history prior to this past season. Doing a bang up job here with your analogies.

Nevermind. I thought you were serious.

He is.

He's on the record hating (1) Jay; (2) Wade; (3) Burrow; and (4) Kiffin.

He's probably the dumbest guy on the board. Everyone needs to just ignore him from here on out.

but how about before this really bad season? 68-51 or so?

I think 2 Natties > 77-72.

2 of the last 3.

77 - 72... Cool statistic. I am preaching to the choir when I note how competitive SEC baseball is. I MIGHT have to follow up on where our Tigers ranked for the last five years, BUT also throw out this year as an outlier.

Great to know you put more weight on sec record then national championships.

You have to be the most retarded person on the planet lol. I bet you won a little league championship and now you think you are better coached than Jay Johnson that’s hilarious.

What a retarded post.

Back to back national championships. Then a down year because the pitching staff doesn’t have THE guy, same for the rest of the lineup.

It happens, I doubt it ever happens again.

No he wouldn’t.

I know it’s pointless arguing with with you, since you are an idiot and thus have no more value than a wall in this situation, but get a fricking clue.

Fragile, emotional, and all up in their feelings. That’s all it is.

$3 million a year for a college baseball coach, in a sport that makes no revenue

The word you are looking for is “profit”. Baseball obviously brings in revenue.

What do you think Johnson’s record would be if he still had Skenes, Crews, Anderson, White, Eyenson? The Dodgers don’t lose players to the draft after 2-4 years

That is a pretty shitty record and no one can deny that.

You can make other points in his favor, but that record is very surprising. There is a handful of guys that have given CJJ the success he has had. Without the two dominate pitchers in each of our championship years, I don’t think we would be very pleased with CJJ performance in IMHO.

Imagine if the said coach didnt have two absolutely dominate pitchers he had both those seasons.

The record is the record, you can’t argue that. If you said in 5 years this would be your SEC record , how many would take the bet we would have 2 national titles in that timeframe???

I don’t want to get rid of him…but the record is undeniably mediocre.
