They, like Gilbeau, thought hiring JJ was a single.

Ok fine, but Louisville is still fricking laughable.

Louisville had made 4 of the last 9 CWS and 7 of the last 9 Supers coming into this season. LSU had 3 and 6.

That was a disaster. Kendall was at least here posting trying to give updates, etc.

The worst of that was some posters here - I could mention names, but won't - broadcasting Nomics and laughing like idiots.

So glad I've never paid for that trash site.

So often wrong and just strange.

Trying to get clicks. Kendall saw the all-time viewerships recorded over Sunday and Monday.

Click bait!

They cite recent success but have S. Carolina at 32.

No matter the criteria they used for this ranking, it doesnt make sense

programs in the best shape right now, with an eye toward the next five to 10 years.

Since States national championship, theyve been on pretty steep decline with on the field results and im pretty sure ive seen a bunch of state fans ready to fire Lemonis. Doesnt look like a program in great shape. Their park and fanbase is all they have going for them ATM

Rankings were based on the program’s performance over the past 5 seasons and how the program is trending with regards to staff, recruiting, facilities, etc.

So, for example:

From 2017-2022, Louisville won the ACC twice, made the CWS twice, and a SR. McDonnell was rumored to be part of the LSU coaching search because he was on the rise.

MSU had made the CWS in 3 straight (full) seasons, then had a drop in 2022. Most people thought that was just a temporary thing.

This list was compiled before this season and only one year removed from the national title and 3 straight CWS appearances. After this year, the decline appears more dramatic and more permanent. I’m sure they would drop in a new listing.

This list is a completely irrelevant opinion, but I can't help but wonder what was going through his mind. Even if you forget about the 90's and just judge LSU over the last 10-15 years, how do you put teams like Arkansas, Louisville and especially MSU ahead of us? MSU spends just about as much time in the cellar as they do being any good, let alone a contender.

I don't know why people give that website so much attention.

You sure this isn't a Way Too Early 2024 ranking?

It was a strange subjective forward looking list without clearly defined metrics.

Trying to rank current status of full programs. Pretty sure it was just something they did in the off-season to get people talking.

I can remember replies from every school thinking they should be higher. For instance, UC Santa Barbara fans felt completely slighted by being ranked 34.

There is a thread on the SEC Rant debating the 2nd best program in the SEC. 3 page thread and no one ever questioned who is #1.

But Kendall thinks LSU is 5th.

So based on their own criteria, the rankings are absolutely meaningless bc the right coach can come along and the outlook of a programs future can be totally different overnight. A program can instantly go from “not being in good shape to being in good shape and having a good outlook for the next several years”

What a stupid way to rank programs.

Tradition and championships are meaningless ? But your subjective opinion about what kind of shape a program is in and how much you like a coach is the criteria?

Ok lol

How about looking at staying power, brand recognition, championships, players drafted, etc as your metrics? You know…actual metrics that reflect success rather than some arbitrary shite.

But yea I get it. The dude compiling that has his agenda as evidenced by his body of work over the years. He’s only human.
