That really changed things when we lost our decade + long tailgating spot. But it was one thing after another that deteriorated. Just destroyed the gameday experience

I have four tickets and yes the traffic etc. and getting home late is putting cold water on my Tiger home games. I'm 67 and have had season tickets for 44 years. I will keep my tickets and may not make every game but kids grandkids or friends will use them. I also have payed parking and this is the only way to go as parking sucks real bad. I hope LSU administration does care and listens to the many concerns expressed here.

I had 4 tickets for 25 years until about 3 years ago. I loved the game itself, but the parking and getting home after the game became so ridiculous that we gave them up.
So I get where you are coming from. It is a major commitment.

Been a season ticket holder for 15 years and I’m not nearly ready to give up my tickets yet because I still enjoy going and tailgating. But at 41, I’m not afraid to admit I don’t enjoy getting there at 7am for a night game, then have to drive home to Kenner and not getting home until like 1am or later. In my 20’s I didn’t mind, but it takes a toll on you. It’s an unpopular opinion but I prefer 11am or 2:30pm kickoffs more than your average LSU fan.

My buddy didn't renew this year after almost 30 years. I have been seriously considering the same. I inherited my tickets on the west sidelines and I have been hesitant to let them go thinking someone in the family would want them, but doesn't look like it. The game day atmosphere is just not the same. The traffic and parking continues to get worse and there doesn't seem to be any effort to improve it. I actually enjoy road games much more and have for awhile.

you'll have more and more like this but at the end of the day admin doesn't particularly care because the true money now is in the tv deals anyway.
The home non conference games have to get better, many have also started to realize they're paying for 2-3 good games a year, then a bunch of crap.

You know you can get single game tickets to any game right?
In my same exact seats that I sat in as a kid with my dad? Doubtful. Good try though.

Every year I think about going to a few games, but then I think about my giant TV, comfortable house, far superior food than the LSU concessions, and of course not having to deal with parking, people, and traffic...and I wonder how anyone attends these games.

I was in same boat as you. Years of tailgating spots taken away. Parking and Ticket prices going up. Traffic getting worse. It just seemed like they were catering to the corporations and not the fans like me who had been there for years and years. I thought it was beyond dumb to expand the stadium and that has proven to be a terrible investment. They should have just made more of what we had nicer.
When they expanded it made it even hard to GIVE AWAY your rentawin tickets. Honestly, if I could have just given away the tickets I probably would keep them. But, you cannot even give away tickets unless it is a decent game. All because the value was killed. They should have made less seats not more and they should have improved the seats we had with bars etc.
Then Les Miles came along and put the nail in the coffin.

Try living in Houston and going to all the home games. Getting hotels, traveling 4 hours and then coming back home Sunday morning. Still doing it and can’t wait to start taking my kids when they get old enough

for whatever reason, the 2000s became a giant dick measuring contest of who could squeeze the most fans into a stadium
This as NFL stadiums began going the opposite direction and moved toward improving amenities.

I'll take it even further.. I live in Austin, and don't even make it to the LSU bar as much as I did a few years ago.
The couch + a case of beer + comfy bathroom is hard to beat these days.

I don't buy the high def TV reasoning. Being the coordinator of a tailgate at 62 is much harder than it was years ago but nothing beats the experience. Watching the games at home just isn't as good as being there. Is the traffic a mess before and after games? Yes. Simply building a few pedestrian bridges would take care of that along with proper implementation of a contraflow exit plan. Watching defenders chase a quarterback is great but when the screen flips to a wide open receiver you know you missed something. Let's just solve the traffic problem.

I'm with OP. I paid almost $4K for this years season tickets to watch this incredible shite show. I have 4 tickets and cant give my extras away. I think I'm done.

I have been attending since 1981. Had season tickets since 96. I feel the same as you. It’s not fun anymore. I have great baseball season tickets in the grandstand with a parking pass. Keeping those.

This was one of the biggest factors for me. They expanded the Stadium to devalue tickets even further. They should have reduced seats and made all seats nicer with nicer amenities. I didn't even want to sell my unused tickets. I couldn't GIVE them away.
