good lord, this is just clickbait.

No team even knows what their roster will look like after spring ball.

Ignore all polls, especially preseason polls. They're just clickbait.

I agree on Penn State being ranked too high but you act like Ohio State and Michigan just got skull drug in the playoffs.

They didn’t get skull drug. But they are 3-7 all time in the playoffs. So yeah.

These two are WAY too high every year.

One reason and one reason only. $$$$$

They won’t not rank those teams due to the viewership on tv regardless of how shitty they actually are as a team.

I think it will be one of the best games of our season. A lot more respect for both teams this time around. I think both fanbases will also know the other team is going to be tough to beat. Of course they’ll be some that go off the rails but for the most part, I think both now know the other is the real deal.

Florida State definitely caught us at a bad time last season and I think the game would have been much different if it was played in the middle of the season. I know I came away with much more respect for that QB for sure. I thought we could have done a much better job with putting pressure on him but he is definitely a smart QB and is one of those guys who just does the right thing at the exact right moment. We’d be inches away and he would take off, we’d have everything covered and he’d create a better angle to pass. We’d be about to sack him and he lets the ball go right on time. That type of QB, just kills a defense.

We happen to have a similar type of guy but if he would learn to get that ball out on time, even if it’s 5 yards, he’d hurt more defenses. It’s frustrating to see a guy open 5 yards or under 10 and he still holds the ball to give downfield receivers time to get open, then he’s sacked or throws it to the guy open but it’s under too much pressure because he waited too long. Just throw the ball short if the secondary looks good in coverage. Then keep looking for the mistake or your guy to make a move earlier.

They really need to run drills where he has to get the ball out or he’s sacked under 2.5 or 3 seconds. They need to really focus on his passing game altogether. He needs to get better at getting the ball out, progressions, pre snap reading and placing the ball on a spot instead of the receiver. Then they could all go work on that stuff on their own time after practicing it. If the offense does that, we’ll have a really good offense and JD should take a good leap forward. I hope I see a more aggressive passer this year. Throw that ball to your guys, especially when you see there is a mismatch but even when you don’t see one, throw it or take off but make that decision quickly and get really good at knowing when to run or pass.

Not really. LSU is replacing most of their defense and lost significant production in guys like BJ. More questions on LSU than FSU right now but the way LSU is attacking the portal only major concern they going to have is how fast they mesh well together.

You keep saying this, but FSU lost their best secondary player to the draft and their 2nd best RB and several depth guys to the portal. They are also bringing in almost as many new faces through the portal as we are. They are going to have several brand new faces playing their first snaps on both sides of the ball, just like we are.

They also don’t get us in game one of a brand new staff with new offensive and defensive systems next season. FSU doesn’t have some giant leg up like you keep implying. Their biggest advantage is being close to home. Other than that, this will be a very even matchup.

Penn State

What am I missing with them?

Apparently, they have a real stud QB coming in. Josh Pate talks about the guy all the time.

Who does Alabama have on offense to make them highly ranked at 2?

Fsu is the hype team going into next season. We will see how for real they are week 1. I think matchup is pretty even except for coaching. Norvell has 1 decent season and now he’s on a pedestal. He was shite in years 1 and 2. And BK inherited a similar to worse situation still wins 10 games.

Yeah that doesn’t make sense. Id have Michigan at two though, based off of almost everyone returning (Corum and Edwards duo is the best tandem in America). Florida State will not be ranked above LSU. I expected USC to be ranked in the top 3-4, with Williams returning, but who knows, they do have some key losses.

I actually like the ranking. I would not be at all disappointed if they moved us to a little lower of a ranking.

I think we are going to be a very good team but I would like to run under the Radar just a little bit to start the season.

Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State and Penn State will ALL be replacing veteran starting QBs. Now some may say the replacements will be upgrades. But there is still an "unknown" factor at the position. Michigan may be replacing their HC.

Georgia, Alabama and OSU get the benefit of the doubt despite having to replace QBs. Michigan probably will too...if Harbaugh stays. PSU is a head scratcher. They were easily wiped out by the only two teams with a pulse they played last season (until the Rose Bowl where Utah lost its starting QB)

I'm not saying LSU should be No. 1, 2 or 3. But whatever you think about Daniels, veteran QBs generally lead to success (LSU's three national championship teams all had, at least, 4th year QBs). Plus, it is an "odd" year...where LSU generally has their most success.

Usual cast of characters for a preseason ranking. However, does anyone think Penn State will be #5 at the end of the season?

And BTW, look at UGA’s 2023 schedule, weak AF. If they start the season as #1, there’s not a roadblock in the way until they meet Tennessee at the end of the season.

Sept. 2 UT MARTIN
Sept. 9 BALL STATE
Sept. 16 SOUTH CAROLINA
Sept. 23 UAB
Sept. 30 at Auburn
Oct. 7 KENTUCKY
Oct. 14 at Vanderbilt
Oct. 21 Open Date
Oct. 28 vs. Florida (Jacksonville)
Nov. 4 MISSOURI
Nov. 11 OLE MISS
Nov. 18 at Tennessee
Nov. 25 at Georgia Tech

The big ten is 3-7 in the playoffs, just got two teams in and both got bounced. Can we please stop this nonsense of pretending they are good?
Michigan returns McCarthy at QB, Ohio State has the best WR core in the country next year. They’ll be good.

Just a little inside information that I'm double checking...our starting and best defensive tackle/nose guard was injured in last drive against you guys and did not start back playing til georgia tech game. He missed wake clemson and n.c. state games and did not play in Oklahoma game. Jared verse defensive end #5 missed first half of wake game he was injured in 2 games previous and didn't get back up to speed til after clemson. Our best running back Trey Bensen that transferred in portal at beginning of season didn't assume starting role til georgia tech game...not starting in wake clemson and n.c. state. Still going back and looking at those 3 game rosters...not excuses because we made dumb arse mistakes and secondly our depth drop off was very noticeable...
