USC is trash for most of the 21st century excluding the first few years. I think the medias attempts over the years to have them ranked so high and always praising them are due to the need for a football presence on the west coast. West of Texas there aren’t any traditional football powers, nor are there any teams with a history close enough to usc’s to take over the medias golden boy on the west coast. So, year after year, hype them up when you can (preseason) and when they do something average during the season, praise them even more, in hopes that some fair weather college fans cling to USC and create a nonexistent revenue stream for the media.

what?? 2002-2008 they only lost 9 games. first half of the cerntury you quoted they were awesome.

and USC has the best returning player at the most important position and are going into the 2nd year under their new coach.

I agree on Penn State being ranked too high but you act like Ohio State and Michigan just got skull drug in the playoffs.

Not really. LSU is replacing most of their defense and lost significant production in guys like BJ. More questions on LSU than FSU right now but the way LSU is attacking the portal only major concern they going to have is how fast they mesh well together.

Living in Orlando, I was hoping for some reduced cost secondary market tickets to the game but a top ten match up and FSU fan base interest will make this a hot ticket.

If we lose to FSU we aren’t competing for a SEC title is what I’m trying to say.

You could argue that FSU in a quasi-road game will be LSU's toughest matchup (need to see what bama does at QB). It's a leap to say that LSU is out of the SEC race before it even starts because they lost to a really good team on the road.

the stadium only seats 65k as well. It's going to be a tough ticket.

Still won’t have a defense and will get smoked in December.

Notre Dame will finish with 4 losses. Ohio St. USC and Clemson, and 1 more to LV or NC ST, Pitt. 8 and 4.

I think they surprise a lot of people next season. shite, they beat our arse when 99% of this board thought we'd win.

The FSU game is meaningless because we are both solid.

Remember when LSU was quietly mentioned as possibly be one of the SEC's surprise teams last summer under Brian Kelly?

Big Fake 10, 11 of it's 14 teams won 6 games or less. The top 2 got bounced first round, West Champion Purdue got waxed 63-7 by LSU.

5$7 at #22 and a solid #4 in the State of Texas only because of the Petrino hire.

Can't wait to see that entire thing implode.
